Newt goes after Chris Mathews – What kind of racist thinking do you have?

I really don’t think Newt Gingrich should have been smiling during this exchange. He should have called it just like it was and be serious and diligent with Chris Matthews about his obvious issues. Get mad at Matthews for his idiotic opinion … call him out … conservatives should not take this crap.

From Hardball at the RNC convention in Tampa, Fla.

Gingrich: What kind of racist thinking do you [Mathews] have … you’re being a racist because you assume [those on food stamps] are [all] black.

https://youtu.be/YAMLAiYLDS0

Right on the money. I hate to reference this hit piece on Gingrich, but here is some information.

The use of food stamps in America has continued to climb in recent years, and hit an all-time high of nearly 45 million in 2011.

According to U.S. Census Bureau, about 28 percent of households that receive food stamps are African American, while 59 percent are white.  According to the same report, about 78 percent of American households are white, while about 12 percent are black. (The overall population is 72.4 percent white and 12.6 percent black.)

Why do I reference this CBS News piece as a hit on Gingrich? Simple, the headline reads “Gingrich singles out blacks in food stamp remark” but did he really? Of course not, the quote reported was taken out of context. The quote you see…

“I’m prepared, if the NAACP invites me, I’ll go to their convention and talk about why the African American community should demand paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps,” Gingrich said.

The real quote…

More people are on food stamps today because of Obama’s policies than ever in history. I would like to be the best paycheck president in American history. Now, there’s no neighborhood I know of in America where if you went around and asked people, “Would you rather your children had food stamps or paychecks,” you wouldn’t [SIC] end up with a majority saying they’d rather have a paycheck.

And so I’m prepared, if the NAACP invites me, I’ll go to their convention and talk about why the African-American community should demand paychecks and not be satisfied with food stamps. And I’ll go to them and explain a brand new Social Security opportunity for young people, which should be particularly good for African-American males — because they’re the group that gets the smallest return on Social Security because they have the shortest life span.

So, almost two out of three people on food stamps are white, and less than one of three are black. It’s kind of obvious that most of the people on food stamps are white, but Chris Matthews and the other liberals seem to associate the term “food stamp president” with race. That’s complete hogwash.

Gingrich is being sincere in his statement, and even though less than one in four Americans on food stamps are black, Gingrich is looking at it a different way. Less than one in 10 white Americans are on food stamps, but one in four black Americans are on food stamps. Should that issue not be discussed?

Not by Gingrich I guess … only Democrats and Chris Matthews can discuss that issue… Everyone else who brings it up are racists.

Gingrich should be on there every week pounding Matthews’ twisted lefty perspective.? I liked the smile, and Gingrich should have said “I am laughing at you, not the stats”.

What ever happened to common courtesy in discourse? Mr. Mathews interrupts and talks over Mr. Gingrich, impugning him and his point while drawing the inference of racism where no implication was present.? Mathews is crude proof positive that Liberalism is a mental illness.

I liked the smile, too. Matthews is too ridiculous to take seriously and he let his racism show. How funny a racist calls someone else out as a racist.

Mathews went after Reince Priebus on the Morning Joe in an even worst attempt to inject racism into the campaign.? If I employed Mathews ?he would be doing a drug and alcohol test before he went on the air again.

I believe a positive result is a “go” on MSNBC!

Reality & logic could only enter Matthew’s mind with a hammer-drill.

Blacks are being enslaved by government money, those that aren’t seem to think the others that are should be because they can’t take care of themselves.

chrissy poo needs a tingle in his brain.? wonder if solar and wind generated power packs the same ZAP as good old coal, natural gas, hydro or nuclear powered electricity?

Call Matthews out?? How?? The means of getting the message across mainstream is dominated by liberal propagandists.? I had to sidestep a potential argument with a relative who is intent on voting for the 0 in November because she’s convinced that Romney didn’t pay his taxes and is despised by his constituency.? I might actually get across some degree of urgency that this socialist leaning experiment must be cut short but she is going to have access to MSM a lot longer than I’ll have to persuade her… and insulting her political views isn’t going to produce a positive result… we’re all in the same boat together.? The info is secondary to impugning its sources and getting folks to tune out the likes of CBS, CNN, NBC, etc.
