We know exactly what these people purchased. We know exactly who these people are. We know they were taking advantage of a broken government system. These people should be ashamed of themselves, but the government is telling Walmart to pick up the tab.
The only argument here is Erin Cox should have contacted her friend’s parents instead of driving to the party to pick her up. But Cox just wanted to ensure her friend got home safe. What’s not acceptable is the school punishing Cox based on their zero tolerance policy against alcohol and drug use.
Since all of the media outlets are speculating and interviewing “eyewitnesses” who heard shots, I figure I can speculate too. I’ll update this post as I have time, if I have time.
Don’t believe anything you read online. Heck, don’t even believe the stuff I write. The press and gun-control activists keep harping on Stand Your Ground (SYG) laws in various states. They are fixated on it, referring to specific cases as “clear problems” with the law when those examples have nothing to do with SYG.
