News you won’t see on tonight’s news? WI teacher charged with allegedly making death threats.

She is a Wisconsin early childhood education teacher, 26 years old, and in a heap of trouble, and well she should be. Jim Hoft at Gateway pundit, calls the threat vile and disgusting. I’d say that’s putting it mildly.

According to the Journal Sentinel, Katherine Windels has been charged with two counts of allegedly making death threats to a Republican legislator in Wisconsin. If convicted each count carries a maximum of 3 years and 6 months in jail and $10,000 in fines. Jim Hoff has a link to the e-mail threat she made.

According to the criminal complaint, Windels allegedly sent an email threat to State Sen. Robert Cowles (R-Green Bay) March 9. Later that evening, she allegedly sent another email to 15 Republican legislators, including Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau).

The subject line of the second email was: “Atten: Death Threat!!!! Bomb!!!” In that email, she purportedly wrote, “Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your families will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks.”

“I hope you have a good time in hell,” she allegedly wrote in the lengthy email in which she purportedly listed scenarios in which the legislators and their families would die, including bombings and by “putting a nice little bullet in your head.”

According to the criminal complaint, Windels told investigators “I sent out emails that I was
disgusted and very upset by what they were doing.”

If you want to read the entire e-mail and learn a bit more about the woman parents in Wisconsin have entrusted their children to … go to GatewayPundit.

WTF – I can't believe I read this quote from the CNN article today (nearly a month later)!

"So far, Windels has not been arrested. She will likely be served with a subpoena on Friday, Dane County's district attorney told CNN affiliate WKOW."

No extremism here – right Mr. Shummer!!!

Apparently Mr. Obama's dulcet call for new civility did not reach this "professional educator".  No teacher in Corrupticut would need to threaten a legiscritter since the Legislature here is bought and paid for by the unions.  We need to change that.

Another poster child for liberal/union tolerance.

    Yup, union extremism!

is it certain that this woman is a teacher? the wisconsin papers, local tv and radio don't refer to her as a teacher, I only see that reference in blogs.

Maybe she's a drama teacher with a gift for hyperbole?  There's always a good excuse when the Dems break the law 🙂

Or "my death threats were an oversight"…

It's this woman's attitude that's created the gulf that we see between the taxpayers and the unions. From where do these teachers acquire the arrogance to thumb their noses at the people that pay their salaries? So what if they spent a lot of time and money honing their job skills and "caring" more then you and I do about the children. "Hey, if it's not working for you then go find something else to do with your life! Nobody owes you anything"

I guess we do need to throw more money at education…some of these educators need some serious therapy!
