Missile Defense – 33 Minutes Update: Video

Update (Jim): The 33 minutes video trailer has been added to this post.

From the Heritage Foundation, here is the link to the site and the movie trailer for 33 Minutes: Protecting America in the New Missile Age.

33 Minutes: Protecting America in the New Missile Age is a one-hour documentary produced by The Heritage Foundation that tells the story of the very real threat foreign enemies pose to every one us. The truth is brutal – no matter where on Earth a missile is launched from it would take 33 Minutes or less to hit the U.S. target it was programmed to destroy.

Nuclear proliferation around the world, and the threat of a ballistic missile attack of some kind is mounting as more and more countries obtain nuclear technology. The ongoing threat toward America is also accelerating due to the fact that there are many rogue nations and terrorist organizations who either have or are seeking ballistic missiles and nuclear technology.

The challenges of protecting America and its citizens for President Obama’s administration are great. Featuring rare footage and in-depth interviews with leading experts in the field, 33 Minutes is the definitive documentary exposing the untold vulnerability we all face and the action plan necessary to revive a strategic missile defense system that America uniquely can develop, maintain, and employ for its own defense and the peace-loving world’s security.

Update (Jim) Video: For those who want a “quick” look, Heritage has provided a two minute trailer which I have embedded below. Or go right to the Heritage site for the full 8 minute trailer of this most important documentary. It is frightening.

And to put this all in perspective … here is what The One had to say about missile defense during the Iowa campaign. The Media ignored this statement, we did not, and I was called a fear monger. Obama has followed through on his promise, cutting funding for missile defense and bargaining away missile defense in Europe. Tell me, does this kind of “talk” make you feel safer? Does it make us safer?

Kinda makes you take a second look at this girl, doesn’t it?

Yes, Mr. President, we know where you stand.  Unfortunately, I expect fully that you will follow through on your campaign promises.  Now, when families "sit around their kitchen tables" they will talk about WHEN it will happen, not IF it will happen.

Well, "Dear Leader" is thumbing his nose at "the One."  Can the rest of the world be far behind?  Clearly, Kim Jong Il didn't give any of this guff to Bush.  Iran is huffing and puffing.  The Taliban is on the rise in Pokeestan and Afghanistan.

If Obama drops the Nork ball, then all the other wannabe dictators will sense Obama's weakness, and jump into the fray.

And we are only four months into the Obamateur's administration!

Somewhere in Crawford, Texas, a man with "failed policies" is laughing out loud and stocking up on canned goods…

I wake up every morning feeling like I'm in a bad dream…or maybe an old episode of the Twilight Zone…because nothing makes sense.

This "peace, love, apologize-for-everything-he-thinks-the-U.S.-has-ever-done-wrong " strategy, (along with the double standards and double talk) just leaves me sitting here saying, "huh?"

Was President Bush perfect?  No…but I NEVER felt unsafe while he was in office.

Does anyone know anyone who has the clout and the contacts to host a local screening of the movie? I'd love to see it in its entirety. Details are available on the Heritage.org website.
