Maybe the most heartwarming video you will see this Christmas

And I truly mean it. You will find it very difficult to keep your eyes dry right from the get go (OK, after the commercial plays). If you are in the military, have ever been in the military, know a military family, or in particular, a military family that has lost a loved one, this video will become very special for you. Thanks to Jim Hoft for plucking this one. As he says, “This will make you laugh and cry. Enjoy”

The video is from yesterday’s Today Show. Meredith Vieira is interviewing the family of Casey Roberts, a soldier who was killed in Afghanistan in 2008. It begins with his daughter whose pain is so obvious. There’s the soldier’s little boy dancing … and it concludes with the family being showered with Christmas gifts. Too much.

Jim Hoft has a link to the whole back story here.

May I just say to all of the families of those who family currently serving. God Bless you, soooo much, and thank you. To those families like the Del Greco family and the Philippon family, whose sons gave all, you will be in my prayers forever and ever, amen.

What a fabulous story to share.  My heart grew three sizes today seeing the joy on Casey Robert's family's faces.  Thanks for something uplifting!

That is really nice for that family, Does Walmart do this for every family of service members that have been killed or just the ones that are featured on national television?

Erik, Unfortunately my spam blocker does not allow me to open the video no matter what I do, even my I-Phone. However, I always defend Wal-Mart. They are great to members of the Military and their families. They employ them in huge numbers and are flexible for those who serve in National Guard. I believe there are special discounts, too for them. As far as I'm concerned all businesses should be doing whatever they can for the Military, they are there saving our sorry butts everyday.
