Matthews thinks Obama is perfectly perfect. Plus refers to blacks as “your crowd”

This video made the rounds yesterday via Townhall but the best part came immediately afterward when Matthews refers to MN Congressman Keith Ellison has “your crowd”, calling blacks the real Americans.

Sorry Chris but this doesn’t fly. Not only isnt the President perfect, he demonstrates every day he’s in capable of running a nation. You don’t demonize the engine and place roadblocks in its path and expect the job creators to perform for you like circus animals. Thanks to townhall and Hotair for pointing this one out. I record, I just can’t watch him anymore … make sure you watch thru the end for the “your crowd” comment.

Likewise, it’s not when you came to America but whether you buy into the American way which since its founding has been a reliance on self initiative, ingenuity, hard work, seizing opportunity. A belief that its not government that makes America great, as they believe in Europe .. It is it’s people who are allowed to explore their freedom, keep the fruits of their labor without fear of confiscation by an overbearing government, What makes us Americans is not relative, it is our common belief in individual freedom and personal liberty, ideas set forth first in our Declaration, and then our Constitution,

Chris Mathews is defending what CANNOT be defended.

  2. SoundOffSister on July 19, 2012 at 9:07 am

Now I know why you can’t watch him anymore.

    • Dimsdale on July 19, 2012 at 10:39 am

I was unaware that anyone did, other than to use him to point out what troglodytes and dinosaurs the true believer liberals are!
      ?
I believe “dumb as a dodo” preceded “dead as a dodo”.? I just don’t want them to take us with them!

My wife and I used to watch ‘Hardball’ many moons ago.? In those days he hid his agenda fairly well and it was more of a provocative opinion show, exuding a Mike Wallace like edge to?the questions/issues/views.? He’s since jumped the shark (and maybe Moby Dick too) and is an unwatchable hack.

    • Jim Vicevich on July 19, 2012 at 5:29 pm

you know Red you put it better than I could have. You’re right the show used to be pretty good. But no longer. Thanks for the comment. You too Dims I love your stuff.?

Glad to see you back in action, Jimmy Vicegrips!? (you mobsta’!)

Chris Mathews gives the clearest, most concise and emotional perspectives a professional cameraman could ever capture in a modern news reporting.? Mathews’ integrity, intuitive sensitivity, careful focus and assertive and poignant out bursts are not a derivative of tight shoes or misplaced underwear seams.? It’s not a reflection of biological functions.? Matter of fact it’s not even a consideration to reflect that Chris held his wife purse during JC Penny Shopping sprees regularly either.? Chris, a man, a person above reproach is the nerve by which all men should compare themselves.? He is a mirror we look onto seeing perfection.
I think Mathews’ intense emotion would work better if he held a clutch bag and ported a nicer pair of heels.
    ?
    YMMV

If nobody here is watching him, why do you bring him up (and how do you know what he says, except for what Hotair reports)?

?It’s important to know one’s enemy. Chris Matthews is the enemy as shown by his comments. He represents all that is good about today’s Democrats.

I only listen to Jim,Rush,Laura & Craig Henne(Tes Party Channel) because Matthews,MSNBC & CNN et.al. would fry my brain if I had to. You poor saps have to earn those big bucks.

“Why the hatred?”? When GB was president, it was patriotic to disagree and protest; but now this windbag paints white people with broad brush of being a hateful racist, and I should just shut up and have no voice because I am “white”?? Matthews needs to pursue other options- like go retire with Keith Olberman.

I went to reach for the barf bag and then realized I wasn’t on an airplane, i.e., this guy’s pathetic remarks are sickening. ?Problem is, I’m afraid many buy into his drivel.

  9. sammy22 on July 20, 2012 at 11:08 am

    Does this apply to Rush?

    • Dimsdale on July 20, 2012 at 1:17 pm

Absolutely!? Listen and learn.? The most virulent attacks on Rush (in my experience) have come from those that freely admitted that they don’t listen to him.? I listen to the OTA broadcasts of Matthews’ show on Sunday for research.? It is like watching apes throw turds in the zoo.

Matthews is pushing the lefty envelope of political bad taste. He is an entertainer. I am saner for not having ever watched him or other nakedly Progressive commentators. It is important to know what these people are saying to know what hysteria them are creating. With blatantly left-wing commentators, it is the shock value of what they say, however devoid of content it may be. In the end, Mathews may worship the ground Obama walks on. But, what is the real result? Who listens to him and values what he says?? It is his opinion. He has nothing to offer to the discussion; anyone swayed by his purely emotional blathering is probably not going to understand a cogent argument. Only another liberal would agree with him.
Ultimately, Mathews is irrelevant. I would like to have our resident liberal defend the deep intellectual thoughts of this entertainer . . .

  11. sammy22 on July 20, 2012 at 3:11 pm

I no longer listen to Rush or Matthews. Both have been so far off the wall as to have annihilated each other’s message.

    • JBS on July 20, 2012 at 5:12 pm

      . . . oh.

  12. wildcat on July 20, 2012 at 11:12 pm

I admit I used to torture myself by watching Mathew’s Sunday morning show (along with Meet? the Press) to learn what fiction the liberals will be spinning for the week.? Mathew’s show always included the section he called “tell me something I don’t know”.? How ironic.? As if to suggest he is SO well informed.? His show is such an echo chamber of liberal Progressives it is ridiculous. Here’s something you don’t know Chris….you have become so irrelevant these days that your audience has dwindled to only those with like-minded liberal drool for brains.? As for his recent comments in this video, I have a theory…perhaps he is kissing up to and patronizing the “real Americans”?? (African Americans) because he may need a new gig on BET once his current show is canceled due to lack of interest.?

    • Dimsdale on July 21, 2012 at 11:15 pm

At least you would know what the latest talking points from the DNC would be for the week!

  13. Lynn on July 21, 2012 at 8:42 am

Now I’m curious. What are Matthews ratings, how does he compare with ?other Tv opinionators? My guess is Matthews is pretty much in the toilet with our economy.

  14. JBS on July 22, 2012 at 8:10 am

The Democrats tell everyone what they are thinking and planning. It is right out there. To sometimes there is no decoding necessary. Sometimes it is a simplification of the truth or, very often it is the opposite of what they are saying.
    Most of the time . . .
