Matthews: Karl Rove is one of those guys out there wearing white ….?

The issue is foreign contributions to US organizations, like the Chamber of Commerce. Not only does Matthews accept the premise that the Chamber is indeed using foreign money to push for its favorite candidates, but then accuses Rove of being one of those guys who wear white … well you tell me.

The conversation begins with a Matthews rant against “big business” that puts profits before people and cites his business that lays off camera men to make an extra buck. Other than his utter lack of understanding that without profits there is no money to pay his exorbitant salary, what comes next is crazy.

David Corn and Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post kick around the White House charge that Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie, and the Chamber of Commerce are “threatening democracy” by funneling contributions into the political campaign. Listen as Matthews accepts it as fact and then takes his whack at Matthews. White uniforms? What is he talking about? Did he start to say something else?

No proof, no knowledge of business, and a charge that makes your head spin. Just another day on Hardball.

I think Sissy Mathews was having a Klan moment. Isn't it like Sissy to talk over everyone till he gets his way.

I would argue that business, big or small, IS America, and the same ingenuity that built the businesses is what made America great but the statists and progressives want big government to be America.  Unfortunately for them, history is on the side of capitalism, not socialism, as the fall of the USSR showed, China and India are proving, and Cuba and North Korea are proving from the other persective (the progressive utopia perspective  😉  )
