Matthews calls for civility … moments later quotes “Dirty Harry” in reference to Republicans

I’m getting kind of used to hypocrisy on this “gun talk … but rarely have I seen it happen so fast. In a four minute span Chris Matthews goes from civility, imploring his guests Ron Reagan Jr and David Corn to get away from the war talk and stay civil … to just moments later imploring the President to challenge Republicans with a little .. “go ahead, make my day.”

I’ve edited it for time purposes only but as you can see it’s all in context and all chronological. To put it in context the group was discussing the freshly minted budget ceiling deal and why they were unhappy with it (no tax increases, of course). So Matthews begins the strategy session with a plea for civility. Within minutes he calls on Obama to call the Republicans bluff and cut defense if there are no tax cuts and it, of course, degenerates into gun talk.

Geeze … and they call the Tea Party bomb throwers. Hypocrisy in a mere four minutes. Next time lefties go after you on using gun language point them here.

Matthews only got his job because he was a long time Democratic lackey.

?This happens when you don’t understand the script you are given to read. Matthews has become nothing more than the drooling, spittle spraying, knee puppet of the DNC and their pre-aproved talking points.

?He is daily fodder for the right and he will be replaced if they ever figure it out.?

It’s still amazes me that the party of “tolerance and acceptance” has no tolerance for those with different views from their own.
