Libyan rebels: They’re shooting their own people UPDATE: Video, fighting with a toy gun

Seriously, would you put US arms in the arms of people who can’t even aim? This is shaping up to be an “all in” war or a quick loss for the coalition. Wait till you see this video report filed by NBC’s Richard Engel. Duck!

While the White House and the coalition debate whether tro arm the rebels, even as they attempt to figure out who the Libyan rebels are and if they are friendly to the US, the rebels are simply trying to figure out how to fire a mortar round without killing themselves. No seriously, I’m not kidding. Listen as Richard Engel, clearly a brave man, describes how the rebels almost killed themselves.

Later, after my recorder stopped, Engel reported that one of the rebel’s only means of protection was a toy gun. No really, If I can find the video elsewhere I will upload it. Really, do you really want to arm these guys. There is simply no way they can pull this off without US help. OK, Mr President, in or out?

UPDATE: Yup, knew this had to be around. Fighting with a toy gun.

Hey, NBC … get Richard out of there, please.

A special forces LRRP team would've taken about a day to spot & eliminate Khadaffy. But next best was to send in some FFLegionaires to quick train & arm some known friends. Every embassy is a spy agency.

"known friends", which ones are they? Even the WH can't tell us who they are.

During WWll American sportsmen donated some of their arms to the British for homeland defense. In this case, any guns sent over there will only be turned against us later.

Let Gaddafi win and he will still sell oil to Europe. If al-Qaeda wants him gone, let them do it.

Are these the same rebels that had a fighter jet last week?

      It was a toy jet.

Seriously?  The rebels are looking for leadership from the West/Obama?  Hey, get in line:  so are we.

Either you're all in or you're all out.  There is no halfway with war, and when there is you lose.

Having second thoughts about the US being the policeman of the world?

Can anyone say Crimson Jihad.  For those who can't place the name, it was the terrorist organization in the movie True Lies.  The one where one of the guy fired the RPG. . . at the harrier. . . in the wrong directions.  To put another way, our amateur president is thinking about giving weapons to amateurs.  Isn't this a little ironic?

We've got a toy president who entertains himself by erecting his middle finger during speeches, bows to dictators, and has a fetish for undermining the constitution!

What to do, what to do. Who was in favor of intervention 2 weeks ago? Anybody raising their hand on this blog?

Watched Geraldo getting shot at on the news. He says no way should we arm them.
