Liberal One National Rally: A friendly gathering of socialists

Hey, why hide it? They’re socialists and proud of it, proud to be bused in and listen to Harry Belafonte and Ed Schultz. Proud. And why? Because everyone deserves the money you’ve worked hard for. Oh, and guess who the enemy is? Why it’s the ….. Tea Party? Radicals and dangerous because nothing is more frightening than a Grandma and her grandchildren.

Two videos via The Blaze. The first is a gas from Americans for Prospertiy, detailing the number of socialist groups that supported the rally. Fun, fun, fun.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkw7n9Qagu8&feature=player_embedded

The second video from Gateway is Harry Belafonte admonishing America for it’s racist and sexist ways but he saves his best for the end … the Tea Party as villains!

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vty7ESzusdY&feature=player_embedded

Based on the pics it took a lot of union buses to get everyone in, but the AP described the crowd as sparse.

More than 400 organizations — ranging from labor unions to faith, environmental and gay rights groups — partnered for the event, which comes one month after Beck packed the same space with conservatives and tea party-style activists.

Organizers claimed they had as many participants as Beck’s rally. But Saturday’s crowds were less dense and didn’t reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck’s rally.

Some people described the event as a counter-protest to the Beck rally. Many mentioned the perceived racist  they see among the tea party-style activists, even though no one who spoke at the Beck rally neared anything approaching criticism of President Barack Obama or his race.

What disturbs me is that the people who attended the rally on 8/28 are condemned by the divider and chief and the rally on 10/2 with its anti middle class and anti Constitution sentiment is endorsed and supported by him.

Sparse crowd? Maybe because it was the "first crisp fall weekend"?

  3. phil on October 3, 2010 at 4:59 am

If it was like most liberal shindigs, most of the crowd were sanitary engineers waiting to clean up the pigsty they left behind.

  4. Dimsdale on October 3, 2010 at 5:18 am

Yes, sparse, at least compared to Beck's rally.  And this group had to enlist the aid of unions to bus in people.  Kind of like being "volunteered".   What concerns me most is the list of attendees: communists, socialists, LaRaza and anarchists among others.  Not so much "pro America" as "pro change for the worse America" groups.

First, crisp fall weekend?  It was a perfect weekend for a rally.  No excuse.

  5. chris-os on October 3, 2010 at 6:29 am

Dims that was tongue in cheek (re: the crisp fall weekend) -see blog post about hartford rally from jim!

capital police est crowd at 300.

BTW, only Obama haters are allowed to rally.

And, how about the bussing to tea party rallies by Freedomworks and Americans for Prosperity (corporate funded organizations).

The bussed in hate and kook groups didn't seem all that enthused, even at Belafonte's lame Tea Party applause line during his unhinged, monotone tirade. The Democrats will steal what elections they can this fall, but even their hate won't be enough to generate enough real voters to stop some big changes this fall.

  7. Dimsdale on October 3, 2010 at 8:02 am

Yeah, I caught that later (I don't necessarily don't read them in order).  The crowd pictures and the after rally litter pictures are telling.

There is a huge difference in being told to go to a rally than going on your own.  Teamsters local 237 president Gregory Floyd told Ed Schultz (no lover of conservative, you must admit) that his members, the “have-nots”,  are going to the the lefty One Nation rally because they HAVE TO GO. He says they "want to go" too, but then why would they have to be told to do so?  (sorry, can't figure out how to link the radio audio clip; you will have to look it up on your own).

If you had two or even three or four pictures, first of the liberal "One Nation Rally", compared to the recent Glen Beck "Restore Honor Rally" or even the major "tea party gatherings", either last year's or this year in Washington D.C., it goes to show that the two D.C. tea party rallies and the Glen Beck one, BROUGHT MORE PEOPLE INTO the nation's captial then the "One Nation Rally". Just the Glen Beck rally ALONE, when having looked at pictures, it was WALL TO WALL PEOPLE. Goes to show that with the two tea party rallies, and the restore honor rally, conservatism is as national talk radio show host Mark Levin has said, is SURGING UPWARDS. Plus also a big difference, at the end of all of the two tea party rallies and restore honor rally, for that many people, everyone before leaving the Washington D.C. Mall area, cleaned up after themselves. Had seen a number of pictures to show that the crowd after the "One Nation Rally" did not clean up after themselves. Just a few thoughts.

Speaking about the "Drain The Swamp Rally" at the Connecticut State Capitol, I have had the opportunity to meet people who share the same passion I have, that to get elected Americans of conservative principles, ALL 300 PEOPLE STRONG.

    Oh Phil… That was perfect.

    phil says:

"If it was like most liberal shindigs, most of the crowd were sanitary engineers waiting to clean up the pigsty they left behind."

The after-rally photos since the Messiah's annointment compared to tea-party leavin's have definitely been telling. I know this is a bit off topic but it strikes at the core of the issue. These people don't care about America for one thing, and the other is that they are ENTITLED for someone else to clean up their mess.

I posted on my FB 2 videos of what these progressive, socialistic, enviromentals left behind…garbage…It was disgusting the trash they left for all those union people to pick up. It is amazing how medical marijuana can take away your energy to pick up after yourself. It is a statement about where they are coming from and where they want to take us.

  12. Dimsdale on October 3, 2010 at 6:03 pm

Talk (and talk and talk) the talk, but don't walk the walk.  Typically Democrat.  You would think that the Sierra Club, the National Wildlife Federation, 1 Sky or the Crisis Climate Coalition would have been responsible enough to organize a clean up.  But nooooooooo……

Maybe cleaning up is done by union workers…

  13. winnie888 on October 4, 2010 at 1:07 am

awww….the little girl socialist was the cutest one!

    Villainous tea partiers…bwahahahahahaa!

But seriously….oppression of women in the U.S.?  Whatever, Harry.  Maybe you're living in the late 19th century/early 20th century, but things sure have improved for women in this country as a whole since that time.  If someone tells you enough that your demographic is being oppressed, raped and sold for sex slavery, I guess some will actually want to believe that as the truth even without evidence to back up those statements.  As a woman, I feel pretty damned lucky to be an American citizen.  I have more opportunities here than I would in any Muslim country.  If this is oppression, "thanks for the gumball, Mickey!".

  14. Anne-EH on October 4, 2010 at 1:43 am

Compare and contrast: While the liberals were trying to rally their beleagured supporters in D.C., back in Hartford, CT, up to about between 300 to 750 persons attended, the latter, according to a message from Palinsmith via one of his videos, and the former from State Capitol Police, we had a crowd at the "Drain The Swamp Rally" who were all FIRED UP and looking forward to do the NEEDED PUSHBACK to take America back.

  15. Dimsdale on October 4, 2010 at 5:53 am

Drain the swamp?  Heck, let's NUKE THE SWAMP!  Or at least neutron bomb it… (politically speaking, of course)

  16. Odonna on October 4, 2010 at 7:32 am

Gotta love that Soviet National Anthem!  Reminds me of Red October, the movie.

But Belafonte has me confused.  He decries the loss of our Constitutional rights, and then declares the biggest danger is the Tea Party whose members are for a return to… governance under the Constitution.  He's lost me.  The man should keep his day job and stick to singing.

  17. NH-Jim on October 4, 2010 at 9:15 am

TEA Party Conservatism   vs.   One Nation Liberalism.

Abide by and defend the Constitution    vs.    Ignore & shred the Constitution.

Revolution on voting day    vs.    coup d'etat

Respect our Capital and flag    vs.    S*$# all over it!

I was at the "Drain the Swamp Rally" on Saturday (I would call it a "10" for weather, a beautiful day).  I started counting heads while the crowd stood still listening and I stopped my count when I reached 900.  It was pretty simple to do.

  18. Tbone McGraw on October 4, 2010 at 3:31 pm

It's nice to see the liberals take a break from the welfare line, to gather and tell us to shove it. All the while expecting the working class to continue to fund their lifestyle; section 8 housing, food stamps, cobra care, DSS (or which ever state agency you have) cash supplement, Medicare, Medicaid, Prescription drugs, college tuition, fuel assistance, etc… Why in the world would they want all of that to end? Then, they'd actually have earn all of those things for themselves…parish the thought!

  19. PatRiot on October 4, 2010 at 6:10 pm

Who is feeding these groups info on the Tea Party?

And why do they think capitalism is the form of US government instead of the Democratic Republic that it is?

And if they are so bent on destroying capitalism, why do they follow the likes of BIG money George Soros and Arriana Huffington?

And wouldn't it save a lot of time, money and aggrevation if they just moved to a socialist country?

Most of the folks in the crowd are on the same short, stinky end of the DC stupidity stick as we are.  What gives?

  20. chris-os on October 5, 2010 at 2:43 am

"Organizers claimed they had as many participants as Beck’s rally. But Saturday’s crowds were less dense and didn’t reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck’s rally."

CBS did an aerial count: Beck's rally 87,000

    This past weekend rally: 175,000

  21. Anne-EH on October 5, 2010 at 3:32 am

Would anyone who doubts how many people have showed up to the Glen Beck "Restoring Honor Rally", here is an article of the picture taken on the August 28, 2010, vs. what was taken on October 2, 2010. This is with the hope it will answer any questions.

  22. Anne-EH on October 5, 2010 at 3:34 am

Chris, I have a question. Did CBS even bothered to take a look at the August 28,2010 picture?

  23. TomL on October 5, 2010 at 3:44 am

Using CBS figures(8/28 87,000) and looking at the pictures I put attendence at the socialist rally at  633 attendees. Based on PFTA theory.

  24. Tim-in-Alabama on October 5, 2010 at 4:47 am

Here's video of a violent hate crime committed by a racist pig attending the kook rally as she attacks a reporter from Human Events. Warning: The racist pig uses foul language during her repeated attacks.
    http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=39262
Since none of the numerous astroturfing organizers have condemned the attack, it's obvious by their silence that they condone such violence at their rallies.

  25. RoBrDona on October 5, 2010 at 11:23 am

Liberal shill CBS hired AirPhotos Live to come up with the 87,000 number for Beck's rally. (They had a plus or minus 9,000 margin of error, or 10.34% – what are they using, their fingers?) I do agree that some news services picked up the organizers' number of 300,000 to 500,000 plus and stupidly ran with it, and subsequently, if you go through all of the numbers you realize there is no reasonable non-subjective way to tell. So scrap it entirely and go by photos (apples v. apples) of each crowd scene at a similar place and you get a very real sense that there were a lot more people at Beck's rally than at the Propaganda Rally for the Dissemination of Lawn Trash.

  26. Dimsdale on October 5, 2010 at 5:02 pm

Chris, the pictures tell it all.  It wasn't even close.  And that does not include the peak of 310,000 Restoring Honor viewers on Facebook.

  27. theignorantfisherman on October 5, 2010 at 5:44 pm

Do You know how many new federal job's Obama can create just having his new federal workers picking up all the trash after all of these commie and secular progressive protestoring rallies! Sha… zam!!! Happy dayz…  are here.. again!! ….

  28. Dimsdale on October 10, 2010 at 2:28 pm

How many people does it take to have a liberal/socialist rally?  The few thousand that are bussed in under duress, and 20 thousand or so after the fact to pick up after them!
