Lawrence O’Donnell vs Condi Rice: The Lecture of a lifetime

This is why you don’t debate with talking points with a person of Condi Rice’s intellect. Some have called this a spanking. I call it a a lesson in bad interviewing. If this were one of Condi’s classes, Lawrence O’Donnell would be clapping erasers after class. IF you watch nothing else today, please watch this, and listen, and enjoy.

Allahpundit at Hot Air gives O’Donnell props just for having Rice on. But I don’t think if you call yourself a journalist, you pat yourself on the back just because you take on an opponent face-to-face.

But listen closely my little mobsters as Sec. Rice takes on Lawrence O’Donnell point by point on the war in Iraq. It’s not anything those of you who listen to my show don’t already know. But she addressed each lefty talking point from the size of the coalition to the relationship between 9-11 and Iraq. “You know Lawrence if you are not going to let me answer your questions we can ens this interview now.”

Remember, this is the same woman who told Bill O’Reilly, after she had been criticized for not being black enough during the Bush administration, told O’Reilly, don’t tell me about being black I’ve been black all my life. Lesson learned.

Lawrence O’Donnell must be dumber than a box of rocks to allow this recording to exist.? If I had had my ass kicked this completely and in such a humiliating way, I’d destroy all evidence.? Oh wait, he’s a lefty so it can be edited.? Like the story of a “firefight”, the interview can change.? Never mind.

screw superman.? truth, justice and the american way, condi-style.? note to lo’d–if you want to be a bully, you’d better find guests you can best.? that will make for a very shallow pool. . .? fyi,? i hear that danny boy and nancy w are available. . .

Did she ever take it to him!! Way to go Condi!

I got only a commercial on that link.? I got the link after the above finished.
    ?
That said, I am wondering who is more intellectually dishonest: O’Donnell or Matthews (or any number of other liberal talking heads.?? You can see from the look on? her face that she wants to reach over and slap some sense into him, but is resigned to sitting there, knowing it would do no good.
    ?
It was like the movie “Deliverance”, with O’Donnell sitting on the porch, and, in this case, banjoless.? He can’t seem to absorb (or doesn’t want to) that in the case of terrorism, WMDs, and people likely to use them, you have to assume the worst case scenario.? As somebody once said, they only have to be right once, we have to be right every single time.? Talk about an armchair quarterback!? And one with the chair facing away from the TV.
    ?
Hindsight is always 20/20, O’Donnell, and the kind of hindsight you employ is the kind you get from having your head firmly ensconsed in your backside.? Great for a job with MSNBC, but not so great for the truth.

Yep, she’s the woman I admire the most. Thanks Jim, we haven’t heard enough of her lately and I never watch MSNBC so I would have missed her.

Ms. Rice was an expert on the USSR. She was stuck in that mode of thinking, therefore she left much to be desired as national security advisor and Sec. of State. She’s trying to polish her tarnished reputation: too late.

    • Dimsdale on May 10, 2011 at 8:28 am

I seem to recall that that mode of thinking actually worked.
      ?
When you consider, as she stated, that all the major intelligence agencies (and even Saddam himself) were convinced that Iraq was ramping up WMD production, assuming the worst is the most prudent course of action.
      ?
She has nothing to be ashamed of.

Sammy is just doin’ the typical rewrite of history. It is to be expected. Anybody can be right with 20/20 hindsight. But do you remember when the libs actually said Condi and Colin Powell knew that the planes were going to fly into the Towers and never said anything? For at least 2 days they were going to investigate them for not warning anyone. If you are a Republican you are blamed if you don’t warn of a threat and blamed if you do take a threat seriously.

    christy&rice….come on???

    • Lynn on May 10, 2011 at 1:14 pm

I really don’t think Christie wants to run… Cain and Condi or Mitch Daniels and Condi? I’d take anyone with Condi

My tolerance level is at “anyone but ?bama” right now…

Watched this 3 times so far.? It just gets better and better.? Would all Reps learn her strategies.? The Dems use SIN to deflect questions.? S – side step? I – intimidate – N – resort to name calling. Condi just cut him off at the pass.? She hit back no matter which attack he used.? Great lesson in how to pin the ears back of a crazy man.? Jim, you use some of these same techniques.? 🙂

You’ve go it right. Perfect observation of tactics.

Ms. Rice was poetry in motion: float like a butterfly, sting like bee!
