Juan Williams on NPR apology- Hey, you didn’t apologize to me – O’Reilly: we’re not letting go of this madam
This sure doesn’t sound like a “kiss and make-up” moment. More like “I’ll see you on the airwaves, baby.” Never pick a fight with a man who has 3 million viewers at his disposal.
Last night on The O’Reilly Factor Juan Williams finally got a little heated and it was fun to watch. First, he apparently is no mood to accept an arm’s length apology. Then, once fully heated to a boil, he let’s NPR have it. “They wanted me gone”. Indeed they did Juan. But the best I think comes at the end. Juan is obviously upset and hurt, and he should be.
Clearly, he’s not the kind of guy who likes this kind of publicity and never expected it. But he is obviously very touched by the outpouring of support, especially from his “bud”, Bill O’Reilly. “We’re not letting go of this madam, we’re not letting go.” Uh Oh.
UPDATE: Sorry I didn’t set up the video. The conversation picks up right after watching NPR’s Vivian Schiller making her famous “His feelings are between Juan and his psychiatrist” comment which I have posted below on the blog.

I'm probably one of the few conservatives who does not care for O'Reilly, but he is a stand up guy here. My favorite radio guy from way back, Imus came back after a PC meltdown and Juan will too. Juan Williams is not a sound bite liberal, he is thoughtful, fair and intelligent. O' Reilly is right, everyone who enjoys the debate between true journalists will come to his defense and NPR should have gone a long time ago. I hope NPR implodes like Franken's radio show (I'm having a senior moment and can't remember the name), it really wasn't memorable anyway. My best wishes to Juan Williams.
I really don't understand why this is a big deal, surely you have bigger fish to fry. There is an election coming up.
But NPR is where many (clearly, the misguided) get their election information.
NPR sounds like a repressive Islamic society, where you "believe" regardless of what you think, or get your head chopped off.

It is a big deal because it points out the hypocrisy of the progressive movement and the prophesy of an Orwellian world. This is just a part of the whole package of liberal, political correct garbage being pushed down our throats (i.e. no more potatoes supplied by WIC and food stamps because "we" are so fat). Yes, the election is more important but it effects the decision of whom to vote for; a candidate that protects our constitutional right of freedom of speech or one who wants to abolish the constitution.
Erik, I work for my candidates on a daily basis. I call and tell people how to vote by absentee ballot so everyone gets to vote. I am immersed in reading and discussing the issues. However, Freedom is the very essence of this election. We no longer have the right of free speech, the right to celebrate our religion, or the right to make our own decisions on purchasing health insurance or for that matter, junk food. Freedom dominates every issue for me. Jim, keep it up, you get it!
