It’s not pork … it’s an investment.

Red State does a great job of drawing out the pork in a 825 billion dollar “must have right away or the nation will sink into a depression like you have never seen before” stimulus package.

Are you curious about what’s in the stimulus bill? We’ve put it online at ReadTheStimulus.org, and have even parsed the 334-page document on this spreadsheet, line by line and page by page, to reveal the hundreds of billions in new spending that this monstrosity authorizes.

Go check it out for yourself — then call your Congressman and Senator, and let them know that things like $1,000,000,000 for new Censuses$400,000,000 for “habitat restoration and migration activities,” $150,000,000 for “bridge removal,” $800,000,000 more for Amtrak, and $200,000,000 for the “leaking underground storage tank trust fund” aren’t what you want your tax dollars spent on, especially in a supposed effort to “stimulate” the economy, which these programs (and so many others in the bill) decidedly will not do.

One woman’s pork is another’s investment … in this case I guess Pelosi has her own definition of pork.

I wish I could tell you how these loathsome human beings get away with this kind of speak time after time … I just don’t know … but they do. This is the same woman who had the cashews to try to redefine Catholic theology in her own image. She is a particularly despicable person on that count alone.

Honestly, I will look – but am very afraid to do so.

This is going to be a very long two years (until the next congressional election), four year (until the next presidential election) or, gulp…even longer.

Citizens of America – It's time to wake up and look at what the Democrats are doing to destroy our country!

Perhaps it is time for Senator Lieberman to introduce emergency legislation requiring all spending bills to be certified as kosher – prior to consideration by the House and Senate – as well as after passage before transmittal to the President for signature.  This would eliminate pork from being included in any spending since pork is never kosher.

Actually, I thought Muslims didn't go for pork either.  True?  I will have to check my Koran and get back to you on that one.

Ladies and gentlemen, the word pork – when referred to as excess crazy government spending – has been removed from the dictionary by Queen Nancy. Move along now, we don't do that type of stuff any more.

I have a friend who used to work for the dictionary, I've got to remember to ask her how they do that…

Pork is federal spending that can not be directly tied to powers explicitly given to the federal government in the U.S. Constitution. There is a lot of pork.

Government "pork" is a product of the activities of "hacks" or corrupt, professional politicians like Pelosi and Reid and (insert name of verminous pol here).  Sadly, it is a political excretory product, not something like a meat product (calling Dodd a "slice off the old ham" is only a reference to his similarly ethically challenged father), even though it is served up like cheap mystery meat at a greasy spoon all-you-can -eat buffet.  It is generally accompanied by large volumes of overheated and unpleasant gas, called "bloviating" (see Kennedy or Byrd for prime examples), which is better known as "flatulence" in polite (read it: nonpolitical) circles.
