I saw a black Christmas tree at Walmart today. Must be for the coming of the antiChrist (not necessarily an Obama dig)!

I just use a small evergreen tree I have growing outside. No mess, no fuss, no cleanup, no bringing the tree back into the attic.

It's so much a personal choice. We always had a live tree when the kids were little – oh, NEVER would we have a "fake" one. Then they grew up and were no longer interested/available for the tree-chopping excursion. What was once a cherished family tradition became a bore for them! So my husb and I decided on a pre-lit artificial tree. No more tracking people down to go get the tree, no more fighting over the tangled lights and who's going to decorate. Pop out the artificial tree, place a few bulbs, and presto, the tree blazes forth in all its glory. And I just light a pine-scented candle to replace the delicious "live" smell. Works great!
