If you can’t argue the facts – attack the messenger

About this Joe the Plumber stuff. Obama wants Joe to buy the business and be successful, then he wants to tax Joe some more money because he’s been successful to spread the wealth around. Joe thinks this sounds pretty much like socialism.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs. That’s a phrase made popular by Karl Marx back in the late 1800s while promoting communism. His utopia ideas did not work, and will not work you big dope.

Had to throw in some Mark Levin language in there for ya. Anyway.

Since socialism is not too popular around these parts and Obama made the mistake of letting Joe the Plumber know that he wants to spread the wealth around, the Democrats have an issue.

Since they can’t fight the facts, they might as well try to destroy the messenger and make him look like a big dope. As far as I’m concerned, Joe understands economics better than Obama.

Here’s a list of stupid attacks that I have found, and I’m not even trying.

Hartford Courant – Joe Can’t Believe It’s So: Attention From Presidential Debate Surprises ‘Joe The Plumber

HOLLAND, Ohio – Joe the Plumber said Thursday he doesn’t have a license and doesn’t need one.

Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, the nickname Republican John McCain bestowed on him during Wednesday’s presidential debate, said he works for a small plumbing company that does residential work. Because he works for someone else, he doesn’t need a license, he said.

But the county Wurzelbacher and his employer live in, Lucas County, requires plumbers to have licenses. Neither Wurzelbacher nor his employer are licensed there, said Cheryl Schimming of Lucas County Building Regulations, which handles plumber licenses in parts of the county outside Toledo.

Malkin – Is Joe Wurzelbacher related to Charles Keating — and does it matter?

Hot Air – Biden: I don’t know Joe the Plumber

And the really good stuff from Democrat Underground… (Hat Tippin’ to a tired Jim Vicevich)

  • He may very well be relating to Charles Keating
  • His house is values at $122,500
  • Joe is not his first name and he is a registered Republican
  • Joe does not like to pay his taxes
  • Joe has a possible brother in.. WASILLA, ALASKA!!!
  • Joe the Plumber admits he would pay less tax under Obama
  • Joe may have lived in Arizona
  • Joe may very well be a Republican plant (Set up job)
  • Joe the Plumber is a genuine wack job

And what the heck does any of this have to do with the FACT that Obama wants to spread the wealth around? Can’t argue with the message… attack the messenger so nobody else will stand up to Obama the last couple of weeks.

Hey Obama, why don’t you take a walk around my neighborhood and I’ll take on your tax and economic policy? The media can call me Steve the Web Guy.

Update: This really pisses me off. As Rush says – one way to win is to clear the playing field and ensure the other team just forfits.

Obama says he wants to spread the wealth around, other people's wealth.   That's his "trickle up economics" theory.  Tax and give away.  What he really wants to spread around is misery.

One of the favorite Demo talking points is that trickle down economics don't work.  The fact is that trickle down economics always work because it's part of the free market.  The question is, "What do you want to have trickling down?" If you lower taxes, benefits trickle down.  If you raise taxes, misery trickles down. Obama's program of increased capital gains taxes and increased taxes on businesses and corporations will cause misery to trickle down in the form of reduced wages and benefits, lost jobs and a decrease in economic activity.  One of the worst things to tax is capital because it is the engine of economic activity.  By taxing it you dampen investment, restrict capital formation and remove a portion of it from the economy with every tax.  Windfall profits taxes trickle down misery in another way.  A special new tax on oil companies directly removes capital assets from companies in which pensions, 401K's and IRA's are invested. Seniors on fixed income are slammed and stolen from by liberal windfall taxes.
Obama's "trickle up theory of economics" is just naive nonsense.

Obama just lost a whole mess of votes from hard working unlicensed plumbers and people of other trades.  I seldom use a licensed plumber on my rental property.  The guys I do use are always knowledgeable, punctual and very competent.  Without unlicensed plumbers, half of the toilets in this country would be stopped up right now.  Mocking someone like this, and denigrating him in front of a crowd is the low down, no good, no class type of thing I would expect from Obama.   Now we know who is really out of touch with working people.

Why don't we all show our support for "Joe the plumber" by sending him donations (a dollar and up) to pay for his tax lien?  Can someone find out where to send the money?

as far as Joe's taxes go, everyone pays taxes one year in the rear in 2008 you pay 2007 taxes usually payed by your mortgage company, and if Joe's second half is not due until this fall  it would show that he needs to pay them but does not mean he is behind. people need to check the facts before they start lies.
