I will not negotiate
That is the position taken by our current President on both the 2014 budget, or rather, the continuing resolution, and, raising the debt ceiling.
I will date myself by saying that I never heard those words from President Johnson, President Carter, President Reagan, President Clinton, or President Bush. Yes, I’ve skipped a few presidents, but none of them uttered those words either, particularly when it came to the future of our country.
We expect our president to lead, get involved, and, contribute to solving problems.
We particularly expect that when Congress seems incapable of resolution. We saw President Reagan and President Clinton intervene under similar circumstances.
Does anyone see that happening today?

I feel the same way about the “debt ceiling”-that it should never be raised again.
Obama’s got the state controlled media describing his opposition as extremists wearing bomb vests. I’d call this “leading from behind the media”! If the media actually called terrorists terrorists, then he could lead from behind the media on terrorism- but he’s too weak to stand on anything unless he’s hiding behind the medias’ skirt.
but Snidely Whiplash (Harry Reid) ?says the dems are negotiating they’re little old hearts out, he wouldn’t lie would he?
For once President Obama is speaking the truth. He will not negotiate, to the detriment of the greatest country on earth.
…. said the petulant little child-president.
