I am Spartacus … the Libyan edition

If this weren’t so serious, it would be absurd. Come to think of it, it is absurd. In an attempt to meet the One’s deadline of “days not weeks”,  Hillary Clinton, in a hastily called press conference, handed off command operations for the Libyan no-fly zone to NATO. What makes this all so absurd is the fact that everyone knows who is still really in charge. Everyone knows who Spartacus is.

According to Fox news the new agreement will simply hand off the no-fly zone operations to NATO. Airstrikes will still be carried out by the coalition, and the coalition is still pretty much the United States.

The U.S. welcomed NATO’s decision to take over command of the no-fly zone over Libya, but the alliance’s new role doesn’t allow America to swiftly take on a supporting role in the effort as the Obama administration had wanted.

American sea and airpower remain key parts of the effort to keep forces loyal to Libyan strongman Muammar Qaddafi from attacking civilians after allies balked at assuming complete command of the campaign that began six days ago. The U.S., along with France and Great Britain, maintains primary responsibility for attacks on Qaddafi’s ground forces and air defense systems, which are the toughest and most controversial parts of the operation.

The new agreement did not come without controversy. Apparently Turkey wanted to make sure that NATO would not participate in any bombing. And until Turkey had assurances that NATO’s military operations would be limited it would not agree to the new agreement. It’s a shell game really. It’s all about “days not weeks”. Jonah Goldberg said it best last night, we all know who Spartacus is.

Even Democrat strategist Kirsten Powers understood it was one big shell game.

Fear not my little mobsters, the nation is in the best of hands. And just remember who is in charge.

Man oh man this administration thinks everyone who is not them is stupid!

I actually almost feel bad for Hillary.

I wonder what is worse, political expediency, or political “correctness”?

Ideology trumps expediency every time for the O.  We should all mourn the loss of pragmatic thought, replaced by rigid Socialist orthodoxy covering a chewy narcissistic center.  It is not, what so many believe, indecision. The man is NOT stupid or slow. It is a concious decision to undermine America's previous historical track, (whether he believes it is in our own best interest or not) as predetermined by the Marxist intelligentsia peering down from their white towers.

So it is OK to kill Libyans who support Qaddafi, but not the ones who support al-Qaeda.

Yeah, those have got to be Obamas people. Or, maybe it is to make up for Tora Bora.
