Housekeeping – Twitter, Facebook and e-mail features

Just a housekeeping note for Radio Vice Online. I had to take one of the plugins we use offline this afternoon since it was slowing down the website a little bit, but the administration section – where we post from – was really slow. I also had to pull the ‘e-mail this post’ functionality.

You can send posts to friends by simply copying and pasting the full URL from the page into your own e-mail client. Hopefully, you will continue to Tweet and post the URLs to our posts on your Facebook sites too.

I definitely want to bring these features back, but it will take some time to do so.

Hopefully – other than loosing those features temporarily – the site should be a bit faster since we moved all of our file content (images, templates and code) to a content delivery network and implemented a better website caching plug in.

The website's content and articles were migrated to a new framework in October 2023. You may see [shortcodes in brackets] that do not make any sense. Please ignore that stuff. We may fix it at some point, but we do not have the time now.

You'll also note comments migrated over may have misplaced question marks and missing spaces. All comments were migrated, but trackbacks may not show.

The site is not broken.
