Dodd: We Senators are kinda like war heroes.

Last week we posted Newt Gingrich’s speech where he called on Americans not to give up the fight to stop an out of control expanding government. Don’t tell me you’re tired, he said, not when Washington’s troops kept fighting in the snow, even when they had no shoes.

Now we get the Democrat perspective on that famous battle on Christmas eve, from Chris Dodd. Instead of using it as a motivating symbol, entirely appropriate, Dodd likens Democrat Senators to … Revolutionary war heroes. These over paid, over indulged, pampered at every turn, who not only do not work holidays, but generally work 4 days a week … war heroes. Only in the lefties head could these be considered like war heroes.

Their arrogance, this group of Democrats, is overwhelming. Out of touch is putting it mildly.

How does having a non filibusterable majority in the Senate, a majority in the House, a socialist rubberstamping president, and an unequaled disregard for the desires of the American people make some putz like Dodd a "hero"?   I really would like to hear that.

How dare this corruptocrat even make reference to the heroes of the revolution?

His Republican challengers should play that clip over and over and over again.

Doesn't banging the head against the wall hurt yet?

I am sure most Obama supporters (past and present) are working on some major self inflicted migraines right now….

Dodd messed up: he clearly was comparing himself to Benedict Arnold.  If I recall correctly, Arnold was a war hero at one time (a real one, not a fantasy version of himself) before he committed treason against the United States.

What has Dodd done for us lately?

Dodd showed up at Bradley on Christmas Eve and was totally surprised that he was heckled!  He apparently DOES think he's a hero … well, he did manage to get us another hospital — guess he thought that would make us forget about the increase in taxes, the job losses, etc., all the negative effects of this ill-conceived bill.  Good!  Let these idiots think we're not watching and that they're safe in 2010.
