Dems to Media: Leave Dodd Be … Move Along

This might be what she hopes, but not likely. Flashing mortgage papers in front of reporters who likely know as much about finance as the average Joe, is not transparency … it’s a side show. And offering a hired gun as an independant auditor is not absolving, it’s misleading and deceptive.
Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd has finally, sort of, kind of, ended 193 days of stonewalling about his sweetheart loans from former Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo. At least he did if you were a fast reader and were one of the few reporters he invited to his Hartford office yesterday to review — but not copy or take — more than 100 pages of documents related to his 2003 mortgage financings through Countrywide’s “Friends of Angelo” program.
Add to that additional questions raised by Courant columnist Kevin Rennie about Chris Dodd’s real estate deals in Ireland and DC … it ‘s not over , rather it’s just beginning.
Of course all of this could be resolved by releasing the mortgage papers, and expense agreements with real estate partners. And there’s probably little chance of that as well.

Well then, there you go, she thinks it a dead issue so it must be. Of course, does she think it is ever appropriate to hold a democrat accountable? Likely not, so why start now. The only thing that will change this kind of thinking is to vote these shmucks out of office! And it is long overdue when it comes to Dodd.
America to the media: do your stinking job, or you'll be displaced by media outlets that will (and we see that happening anyway).
If they are simply going to take orders from the White House and the DNC, then Obama should simply make them a government department (propaganda?) and remove all pretense of objectivity.
Don't these people ever get tired of defending these bums?
Gov't support of the media is right around the corner-the ultimate payback. I can hear it now. "we must bailout the media, for they tell us the truth-how can we rely on right wing internet pajama blogger to tell you what we want you to hear the truth?"

As a Realtor in CT, I can tell you that NONE of my clients ever got such a sweat heart deal as the Dodd's did. If he didn't do anything wrong — then why is he apologizing! He knew darn well he got a deal and as head of the Banking Commission — if he didn't know then who should! He is hurting not only CT but the entire country…he needs to be stopped now. Nancy needs to pull her head out of the clouds and see that we are not going to take this anymore. VOTE HIM OUT IN 2010!!! Stand up CT and be smarter than Massachusetts was about re-electing Barny Franks.
