Congressman Grayson: You want dirty … I’ll give you dirty – UPDATE: MSNBC pushback?

This, in one post, will show you why this outlier will not win and how the Democrats today speak out of both sides of their mouths. In Connecticut they continually whack Linda McMahon for running a “dirty campaign”. Negative, they call it. And yet on Sunday the Democrat party tells the NY Times they intend to dial up the mud.

It seems whatever they accuse Republicans of, why that’s exactly what they intend to do. Florida Congressman Alan Grayson is exhibit “A”, although this is despicable for even him. Both of these videos are from Hot Air and you’ll get more there from Ed Morrissey.

Grayson, as the SOS, has pointed out, first won the district two years ago in a center right region. The SOS says he unseated a Republican by running, even then, a “nasty” campaign. Now he’s running against a Tea Party supported candidate Daniel Webster and since he has nothing positive to hang his hat on … it’s get out the claws, calling his opponent “Taliban Dan.”

Watch the ad … not only is it a fraud … the whack at Christianity is unmistakable.

But as Ed Morrissey points out, the video is clipped and taken out of context, presenting the exact opposite poiont of view the soon to be Congressman was trying to deliver. Here in fact is the quote about the obedient wife “submit to me” in context.

So, write a journal. Second, find a verse. I have verses for my wife. Don’t pick the ones that say, uh, “She should submit to me.” That’s in the Bible, but pick the ones that you’re supposed to do.  So instead, “Love your wife even as Christ loved the church,” and so on, instead of “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands.”  She can pray that if she wants to, but don’t you pray it.

Here’s the video in context.

Ed points out that FactCheck.org and the Orlando Sentinel caught this putting the Grayson campaign on the defensive and my guess sinking Grayson in one small lead. But Ed’s take is much more harsh and I have to say I agree. Please read it all.

Webster’s wife Sandy, supposedly the victim of her husband’s “oppression,” summed it up well:

“Alan Grayson is a disgrace to this district.”

As is every Grayson campaign staffer that collaborates in this smear — chief among them Grayson’s campaign manager Susannah Rudolph, who spent yesterday attempting to defend the obviously and egregiously dishonest ad, even after the Orlando Sentinel exposed it as a fraud.  This incident shows perfectly why Grayson, Rudolph, et al have no business anywhere near power.

Grayson is a despicable politician who hopefully will be headed to defeat in November. He’s a bully and his only goal is “him”, him at any price.

UPDATE: Amazing … but perhaps this ad was even too egregious for MSNBC? I mean hasn’t even Chris Matthews seen the flaws in the current band of lefties in DC.

MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer calls out Grayson on MSNBC this morning and she won’t let him squirm out of it. Ed at Hot Air notes that Webster indeed is pro life in every sense of the word … including rape and incest but that isn’t the direction this ad takes, and Brewer takes note of that.

If Grayson really wanted to air these issues, Brewer repeatedly points out towards the end of the interview, Grayson would have just stuck to the actual record.  Instead, Grayson equated Webster to terrorists who murder people and  “throw acid in girls’ faces,” as Brewer says.  That’s not an honest approach to women’s issues; it’s a man exploiting women’s issues in order to lie and smear his opponent.  Kudos to Brewer for knowing the difference and not retreating from it.

When ever someone is losing ground, in any situation, the first and foremost human nature instinct is to survive. We are seeing the democrats drowning before our eyes, we are watching them desperately trying to hold on, we can hear their screaming out for help through those desperate shrills sounds come from the podiums. It does not take much to discover how fast they are sinking, drowning in a sea of lies.

Grayson is so desperate there is no mistake he is drowning his lies which are flowing into the sea, joining all is cronies in DC.  Can he win with such lies and screaming out such fraudulent claims in his shrill dem voice? The answer being affirmative only should Americans believe the lies which is unlikely or enough libs get out there and vote. There are more of us then of the libs so unless We the People sleep late in November we will see Grayson and his DC friends all going back to the private sector.

Let us make sure when all these libs enter the private work force we have no jobs for them. It would be good to give them a lesson on unemployment.

Grayson is an arrogant dispicable piece of trash and is an embarassment to the country. He should be booted out of the house but the progressives won't want to draw attention to themselves and do what's right. If this was the only time he spewed his venom you might blame his handlers for the ad but he has several sound bites that shows his total lack of respect for people. He makes Rambo Emanuel look like a choir boy.

I'm pleased as punch that the Orlando Sentinel exposed Grayson's ad for the fraud that it is.  We have, indeed, come a long way, baby, when (even) journalists are offended by garbage like this and expose the truth.  Kudos to them.

Grayson is (clearly) an unhealthy individual…pure and simple.  Democrats who still believe crap like this should be ashamed of themselves for being so mentally deficient and easily led by ugly behavior, slanderous speech and lies.

I think it is a clear reflection of the utter disdain in which he holds the electorate.  He honestly believes that they are that simpleminded and easily led.  This, and his ludicrous outbursts in Congress prove that.  It also shows how scared he is of the current outrage that is being expressed against the Congress, and his party in particular.

What a shame that he can't point to a single positive thing that he has done that has been positive for the voters, and has to resort to this level of garbage.  I don't think anyone, of either party will miss this crapweasel.

"Alan Grayson is a disgrace to this district" No, he is a disgrace to the United States of America! This guy is certifiable and he's exactly whats wrong with Washington! He like every incumbent, that has voted against the will of the people are going to receive from me, an application for McDonald's, upon their election defeat. That way, the salt gets good and deep in their newly added wounds.

Some may say it won't matter, but you'd be surprised, what a good swift kick to the goodie bag will do, when their down and suffering. I hope they suffer long and hard! Lord knows the damge they've caused, will be around for many, many years.

when the "lame stream" media do not cover this kind of outrageous comment….why don't the conservative talk shows & tv call and record the stonewalling answers these people give???

  7. Anne-EH on September 28, 2010 at 4:54 pm

Jim, this should come as no surprise. We are watching, and SOS has a front row seat, to the liberal Democrats are trying to save a ship that is sinking and is sinking fast.

UPDATE:  Now I think he's unhealthy, detestable and condescending after watching Contessa Brewer's interview with him.  Oh, and let's not forget his refusal to answer any questions and how he tries to come across as a victim and a champion of women's rights.

This is just too much.  I can't believe I'm saying it, but I can actually tolerate Chris Matthews a (whole) lot more than this philistine.

This jerk is worst than a rattlesnake. The venom that comes out of his mouth will kill us as a nation. I wish that these snakes would think before they talk. He just rattles on and on as if he was the only one that knew anything. His day is coming soon just like the rest of the dems who think they know all.

Grayson is the poster boy for the Democrats and left wing blog posters. I'm surprised Contessa pushed back against him, but good for her. I hope she's not fired or attacked by Bill Clinton, John Kerry, the DailyKook or HuffandPuff Post.

It is pretty obvious Grayson is a thug.

  12. TomL on September 29, 2010 at 9:28 am

Where's all the lefty's coming to his defense?

  13. Dimsdale on September 29, 2010 at 4:47 pm

Yes, Tom, I have been wondering that as well.  Grayson is a whole new level of smarmy, and no Democrat in his/her right mind (no pun intended) want to be associated with him.

He is a political bedbug, and should be politically exterminated.

Grayson may be in trouble with the vote for Rep, but he has the d-bag vote all locked up.
