Classic – Berkeley Peace & Justice Commission will vote to “invite” Gitmo detainees to town

You can’t make this stuff up. Tomorrow night, the Peace and Justice Commission in Berkeley, Calif. is set to vote on a resolution to invite one or two Guantanamo Bay terrorists to relocate to Berkeley. From Debra Saunders at SFGate.com.

On Tuesday, on the recommendation of its Peace and Justice Commission, the Berkeley City Council is set to vote on a resolution to invite “one or two cleared” Guantanamo Bay detainees to resettle in Berkeley.

Peace and Justice Commissioner Rita Maran told me that the idea was to invite to Berkeley “the kind of people you’d like to have living next door to you or dating your cousin.”

Pure genius I tell ya.

Too bad they can't invite in former inmates of other Cuban prisons, like Combinado del Este, Kilo 8, Aguica, or Villa Marista — no, wait, that would discredit Kings Castro I and II — they'd be embarrassing the wrong government. No, we can't have that. There are two brand new ex-inmates as of this weekend: Hector Maseda and Angel Moya, who spent 8 years each for crimes like "disrespecting" the government.

    I'll state the obvious.

1-Your cousin would have to be a muslim, or willing to become one.

    2-It's Berkeley…

Hope none of those sweet, innocent terrorists don't behead her cousin instead of dating her.

Normally, I recommend fencing off sewers of liberalism like Berkeley, but now we can wait until after these "refugees" are firmly planted in the neighborhood, THEN fence it off.

That is what we call a "twofer"!
