Alinsky rode into town on a one-trick pony that the Left has since turned into its warhorse: Agitate one side’s grievances, and appeal to another side’s decency and gullibility in order to provoke the establishment, whose reaction will unite the other two. Then the community organizer charges in on his nag-turned-steed and proceeds to set the rot in motion under the banner of “progress.”
Even though the activists want you to think the riots were in response to oppression by the man – in Rochester’s case Kodak not hiring enough minorities – they were really kicked off when police responded to a dance chaperone calling police to help remove an unruly and drunk party-goer.
The disturbance began at a Friday evening street dance sponsored by the Northeast Mothers Improvement Association. One of the chaperones called police to complain about an intoxicated young man and when police attempted to arrest him, the crowd interfered. The officers called for backup and when a K-9 unit arrived on the scene, the crowd became enraged.
Alkinsky showed up and picked Kodak as a primary target since they were the largest employer in town.

Progress and “progressive” are polar opposites.? OWS proves it.? They don’t think any laws apply to them, but mob rule (their’s) should be the law of the land.

Jim, thanks for taking my call today concerning Occupy Wall Street. This is truely a disturbing turn of events. I have included some more analysis below.?
The Democrat Protection Racket: Occupy Wall Street
The Obama regime?s and Democrat?s use of the gangster tactic of money laundering via the ?Stimulus? and other policies to fill their coffers via dues paid by members of public employee unions has been a success.? Now they are rolling out another gangster tactic the protection racket to try to make sure their power is sustained and their coffers stay filled. Just as a brick through a shop owner?s window may incline them to pay tribute to the local gangsters who come calling and promise to prevent it from happening again or even from getting much worse, Occupy Wall Street is meant to be the intimidation or ?broken window? used to extract the tribute of votes and taxes from American citizens.

Well it looks like the useful idiots needed to carry the ?pitchforks? have been unleashed with Occupy Wall Street. James Carville the ultimate Democrat insider said in relation to the bleak economic conditions on the June 6, 2011 Don Imus show:? ?People, you know, if it continues, we?re going to start to see civil unrest in this country. Unfortunately this type of tactic is somewhat effective as some of our fellow citizens who have families, property and businesses and are uninformed or just afraid succumb to the intimidation.? continued: Now the Democrats and their media allies hoping to use Occupy Wall Street (if not control it) are already saying most Americans agree with the frustration felt by the occupiers and there is the incessant drumbeat that a majority of Americans say via polls it is only fair that the rich and business should pay more taxes. It will be easy for some to sacrifice the ?evil? rich and business ?to secure their own safety and comfort. Certainly we will be hearing before long that the only way to stop this civil unrest is to support the economically fair policies of the Democrat Obama Regime and allow them to continue by voting for Democrats and Obama in 2012.

Conclusion: We need to let our fellow citizens know what is in store for them if they succumb to the intimidation of Occupy Wall Street. We need to use the system our Founders gave us and vote Obama and as many Democrats out as possible in 2012.? That is the only way to get on the road to restoring the country and ensuring a civil society. What are these past 30+ days of OWS rioting here in the US meant to distract us from with the current administration?? I’m sure the list of possibilities is entirely too long after nearly 4 years.

My thanks to Michael Walsh and Steve, I found the story about Rochester fascinating. Also, am sorry to say I don’t even remember hearing about it in 1964, although there were quite a lot of riots and unrest around.
