Beavers Targetted for Illegal Logging
A group of Greens must be out of touch with nature and more than a little red-faced:
“Green campaigners called in police after discovering an illegal logging site in a nature reserve – only to find it was the work of beavers.
Environmentalists found 20 neatly stacked tree trunks and others marked for felling with notches at the beauty-spot at Subkowy in northern Poland.
But police followed a trail left where one tree had been dragged away – and found a beaver dam right in the middle of the river.
A police spokesman said: “The campaigners are feeling pretty stupid. There’s nothing more natural than a beaver.”

So beavers can indiscriminately cut down trees, because it comes naturally to them, but humans can't do the same?
The more the enviroweenies try to stabilize nature the way they think it is supposed to be, the more it laughs at them and does what it wants anyway. That is a good lesson for the AGW nutcases.
As an aside, is anyone going to take those infernal Canadian geese off the "endangered species" list before they overrun the state? Or bury it in goose feces?
Probably, but that's not the point, Dims… the point is is that the Environmentalists are so divorced from their environment that the notion of a natural explanation of what was going on didn't even cross their minds.
As for the geese… UConn in the summer is treacherous walking indeed…

I am always amazed at the powers of mother nature, if thats what you would like to call it. in 2004 I visited the National Volcano Park at Hilo Hawaii. I must of driven at least 20-25miles down winding roads with nothing but desolation on either side due to the lava flows.
However this road just came to an abrupt end. So I parked the car, and walked the quater mile to the observation station. The site before me was one of amazement. Lava had complete covered the road…so there are places in this world where road do end. I digress….I was given some instructions before wandering out onto the lava field before making may way across one of the mother natures most awesome powerful firey furries of display.
There in the middle of all this there was a sign sticking out of the black rock beneath my feet that said 25 mph and a no parking sign. It was a site to see, but in the crevices of this black rock was life. Grasses and some broad leaf plants trying to regain control of the landscape.
So I always remember this, that no matter what, or the conditions of the surrounding area
life finds a away.
I have had enough.
Everybody knows the benefits of an active working beaver. We need all beavers to reach their full potential. It is a sad day when environmentalists interfere with consenting adult beaver activity.
All beavers should have unfettered access to their chosen territory. Us beaver lovers appreciate the occasional rendaveous with a wild uninhibated beaver.
