A Tale Of Two Greetings

It just burns me up, as the media continues its shameless BDS coverage of the President. A lot has been made in the MSM, including CBS, about the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at President Bush during a presser in Baghdad. Not much has been made of the way other Iraqi journalists wrestled the budding MSNBC reporter to the ground and apologized for the incident. Nor has the press made much mention of the troops greeted him. So here are two videos. for you to watch.

The first, via Hotair, is the almost continuous loop Sunday morning of the shoe throwing incident. Again watch how others around the reporter react. Actually Bush was pretty nimble himself.

Now watch this video (via Gateway) of the troops greeting President Bush earlier in the morning. BTW no press coverage.

I have long since given up being outraged by the way the MSM treats our Pres. They're no better than any of the thousands of BDS blogs that permeate the internets.

The Troops love this man, and that is why he will always have a spot in my heart.

The troops are proud to serve George W. Bush. Barack has a lot of work to do to earn their trust…..loyalty in following commands is what soldiers do…..trust can only be earned.

A concern I have is recruitment for the years to come. Low troop morale with Brack will result in less than desired volunteer enlistment.

I, for one, do not blindly accept the official single shoeter theory.

I was listening today in the car and I think you are right on! As usual the liberal media (mostly backed by the Democrits (Half democrat / half hypocrit) Would choose to show over and over again the shoe throwing inicdent while not covering all the details …only the insult. I was appalled(notice that I did not say suprised) that they did not give atleast equal time to our troops cheering at the top of thier lungs for our commander in chief.

This President has kept us safe …there have been no attacks on this country since 9/11 he even kept all the liberal whiners safe… he did not pick and choose who to keep safe ..he gave equally to all.

This President has done an admirable job and in my opinion while not by any stretch of the imagination a good public speaker I feel he has had the best interests of this country at heart and in promoting democracy throughout the world.

It must really piss the liberal media off that he (our current sitting president) hasnt had to make a statement like "I did not have sex with that woman" so the best they can do is show some moron throwing his shoes at the President. The shoe throwing is equal to an African American male calling a Caucasion male a "cracker" ..its laughable and I personally do not see it as an insult …in fact the few times in my life I have heard it I fell on the floor laughing at how stupid it really is.

You must realize, Mike, that the Arab world is afraid of the United States. The invasions of Iraq was unsettling to them — they had created Iraq as this mighty army– a symbol of Arab strength and pride and the United States took that army and swept it aside. Every conventional war they have had with Israel and the United States has ended up in near-uniform defeat — it is only in asymmetric war that they can challenge the Western world. Well, that and hurl footgear.

I read this, then decided to watch the news/read the local paper and see what the emphasis would be.

Sure enough, the Springfield Republican has a cover sequence with the shoe throwing, but a bare two lines deep in the story about "a group of Iraqis" wrestled the assailant to the floor. I didn't see any of it on the broadcast news.

Now a "a thousand" Iraqis want this piece of trash "journalist" released? I wonder if it was just a bunch of Sadrists all hopped up by their cowardly "leader" hiding in Iran? Given the state of the media, we will probably never know.

Late night talk show host Craig Ferguson had a great line last night about the Iraqi journalist. http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=pen%20might
