A priest, minister and reverend walk up to the White House fence…

They kneel. They pray. They get arrested.

You see, you can protest along certain sections of the White House exterior fence, but you have to keep moving while protesting. This post isn’t about contraception, abortion or Obamacare … it’s about how the federal government treats people differently. They choose the winners and the losers.

In the meantime, we’ve had the so-called 99 percenters all over the United States illegally camping for months at state and federal parks. At McPherson Square in Washington D.C., it took more than four months for US Park Police officers to evict the occupiers from the park.

I guess the small group gathered to pray at the White House fence didn’t have an agenda the White House approved of, so they were promptly arrested, and released after they paid a $100 fine.

In response to the president’s national health care plan, widely known as ObamaCare, six pro-life marchers were arrested today in front of the White House.

Among those arrested were a Catholic priest, Father Denis Wilde, the Associate Director of Priests for Life; and Presbyterian minister, the Reverend Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition.

LifeSiteNews.com is reporting that a total of six pro-life protestors were charged and arrested for “disobeying a lawful order,” and eventually released after paying a $100 fine apiece.

I don’t see these guys throwing any bricks like they did at McPherson square.

The title reads like the opening line of a joke.? The sad thing is the joke is all too real and it’s on us.? I guess that disagreeing with government policy makes you a criminal.? They can arrest me, lock me up and throw away the key but as far as I’m concerned it is the people currently running the government who permit this abuse of power and denial of free speech who are the criminals.? Shame on them.

Everyone knows you cannot stand, kneel, etc at the WH fence. Over the years people did this (anti-war protesters, servicemen protesting Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, recently “Tar Sands Oil” protestors). they all do this just so they can be arrested to bring publicity to their cause…just as these men knew that they would be arrested.

Although anyone who is involved with “Occupy Wall Street”, are pretty much are “left alone”. Freedom for me, not for you.

How did I know you would ignore the point of the post as it regards to the occupy protesters being left alone – less than three blocks from the White House – breaking the law for months?

How did I know you would compare apples and oranges?? You know that if OWS was at the fence they would be arrested like everyone else. Do you know how many times people have tried to throw a bomb over that fence?

      The progressive’s comfort zone!

This should definitively quiet all of conservatism and capitalism. Game over folks. Move along now.? ?

I have nothing but the highest admiration for these three wise men. I agree with Crystal, that they knew they would be arrested, and that is why they did it. I’m not saying our government is right arresting three peaceful men. I’m saying these men felt deeply enough about their cause that they were willing to be arrested. They proved the government is wrong. Through the ages of our democratic republic, men strong in faith protested when the cause was right. Proving that our government under this regime is wrong, is right. God Bless these three wise men.

Here is a crystal clear comparison that’s unambiguous.
This regime is all about the agenda and using the media. OWS has a socialist list of demands that the WH supports, thus no actions are taken against them from on high. (Only local actions that come after many months of Occupy) OWS provides political theater for the Regime to play off of as necessary. I’m sure the Regime would have liked to ignore these six individuals, especially the ordained ones — the less media attention, the better. But, standing at a known exclusionary zone forced the issue. About the jackal media, look for them pay scant attention to these men and less-to-none in the coming days.
These are men of conscience, demonstrating a conservative message, and as such knew their arrests would get publicity. But, who will capture and hold the media attention? Not men of conscience with an agenda not endorsed by and unfriendly to the Regime.
OWS is a contrived sideshow. The only valid comparison that could be made is with the current occupant of the WH, which is no contest. These six men have tossed aside the curtain of lies that is ?bamaCare and exposed the double standard of the Regime for what it is…

I still don’t get what they were protesting.

    • Dimsdale on February 27, 2012 at 11:25 am

I don’t know what the OWS was protesting either.? Neither do they.
