1-800-BAD BOSS

Got a problem with your boss? No Problem. Obama just made it easier to sue by providing you with a direct link to a trial attorney. Well this is what happens when you elect an activist lawyer President. Let the good times roll.

No, seriously. Our good friend Liz McDonald is reporting at Fox Business that the Labor Department has decided to outsource labor law by referring complainants directly to the ABA.

More than 40,000 workers annually contact the Department of Labor with complaints about their bosses. But Labor can’t get to all of them, an estimated 10%, because of budget constraints, the White House says. So the White House has instead launched a program for “unresolved complainants” with the ABA. Workers will now be provided a toll-free number that connects them with ABA lawyers nationwide who are experienced in things like alleged workplace abuses of minimum wage, overtime and family medical leave laws.

The White House in a statement says this is “a new effort between the federal government and private bar to assist complainants” who may need help with “worker rights.” In a statement, the ABA calls this new alliance “unprecedented.”

Oh, and lest you think it’s just the Labor Department, Liz informs Megyn Kelly, it’s so much more. Watch the video as Megyn, a lawyer, debates whether this will mean more lawsuits. It’s so sad it’s funny. What about the small businesses?, Liz asks. Indeed.

Understand, this is a President, who on the same day pledged his allegiance to businesses every where, in an attempt to get the private sector to hire. Of course, this is a sure fire way to encourage hiring, give those new hires an easier way to whack the employer. Irony defined, or as Ed Morrissey might say, nuance?

UPDATE: Sorry for the bad link to an unrelated video. Platform giving me some trouble. Corrected the “trail” to trial as well.

This gives brand new meaning to the term "ambulance chasing".

Close the Department of Labor, save mega-bucks.  If you have a problem call your state Atty. General.

It is time for the gym. Why oh why did I have to read this post? This stimulus plan for lawyers is just one more nail in the coffin of small businesses.

This is outrageous? How could you imply on this public web site that what Obama has done is bad for business? OUTRAGEOUS! I wish to speak with your boss.

    lol.

Oh my god these people cannot be serious, and yet I can already hear the tingle down Matthews leg for another piece of business killing Obamanomics.
