hmm...since it's a gov't health care plan...I wonder if our elected officials are gonna rush to sign up for it or if they are gonna stick with what they already have? I'll bet that's why keeping what you've got is an option...what politician wants to give up his excellent health care plan??? It'll be very interesting to see how this plays out...but based on the past 6 months I can already guess.

I'm unemployed right now, so for the time being I changed to the state Charter Oak health plan. Difficult to get a doctor outside of the UConn system that accepts the plan due to the notoriously low payments.

Why does anyone think that taking a system where there is a patient, insurance middle company, and medical service providers will improve when a government bureaucracy is added to the equation?

I have been told many times that I can never have total control of things that happen to me or around me. This has been often difficult for me to fully understand and accept, but I keep trying. I never realized that, one day, I would have to surrender control over to my government. That, for me, is overwhelming. I don't understand much of anything about what is happening in our government today. But something seems clear ... the government is stealing control of my choices in life. And, admittedly, I have no idea what to do. So ... I worry.
