Westboro Church leader to Chris Wallace: Obama is the beast

No, not that kind of beast … THE beast … the anti-christ … the devil perhaps. I report, you decide.

The lawyer, and daughter of the founder of the Westboro Baptist  Church, made an appearance on Fox News Sunday and I came away with two impressions. First she is one angry woman. Second, she is very smart and now empowered by the SCOTUS decision last week validating her protests. That, I think, also makes her dangerous.

She told Wallace that after the decision, they will now ratchet up the protests. Terrible. I won’t bother debating his stance or her willingness to determine God’s Will … but I thought I would post this small video. A window into the soul.

It may seem like she has lots of head knowledge about God and the Bible, but it is crystal clear that she has absolutely no heart knowledge.  And it pains me to say this, but unfortunately, her right to spew her hate is more important than the hateful words she is spewing. This is one case in which it turns my stomach to see the law and our rights being upheld.

Jim, will view the video later, but what does trouble me about folks like this lady from Westboro is that the stuff she says, ends up giving REAL Christians a big "black eye" which is the last thing Christians in America need. Plus it does come during an important week in the Christian calendar, and for this year, for all Christians, the start of Lent.

Westboro church while they may suggest to others they live within the word of God, demonstrate following false wrathful God, one of punishment and with little love. When your deeds are good, giving all people consideration of kindness, the God guiding you is a good God. America was founded upon the principles of a good God, not one of evil or hate.

Using Westboro to demonstrate the evils of Obama is sad, no patriot needs a group of hate in our midst. Beware of those leading you under false witness, for the lead you unto a path of destruction. When hate calls another hate, they are one in the face our God as our enemy.

Our freedom of speech allows others to express themselves as they freely wish, it does not give open license to harm others with their words, such is a violation of others rights. We can assemble and freely speak but we must understand the words said are accountable, violate others rights, cause harm to others and you are responsible. Our Constitution gives us rights, but not rights to violate others, we are all equal and all equally protected. Westboro had the right to speak but not the right to hurt intentionally. It is our fear of retaliation that we succumb to others intimidation, stand strong as a rock upon your principles, Westboro church cannot harm us, but unite us for keeping all men free and equal.

SOS missed her calling….she should have been a religious zealot lawyer.

This woman is flat-out creeeeeepy.  I ignore anything she says because it comes from a place of hatred and intolerance.

Jim, please put a curtain over the window into this crazy's soul.

@Anne: No worries – you caught it. 😉

These people are not Christian.  I put it to you that they themselves are the anti-Christ.  They do things in the name of Jesus, but are 180 degrees out of phase with what Jesus taught.  As a Christian, I disavow any action Westboro Church does.  There are 2 parts to free speech – first, you have a right to express an opinion; second – you have the right to shut up.  Just because you can say something doesn't mean you should.

Wag: agree with you 100%…not everything someone could utter is in good taste.

Opps again! After hearing Ray Donaway on the radio spell out the word "paczki" or "Polish donuts", at last I got the word spelled right for a change! :)=^..^=

Bear with my multi-posts Jim. :)=^..^=
