Twelve new ways of taxing

Minnesotans for Global Warming – yes, there are people who live in Minnesota who welcome global warming – is a site with parodies and arguments opposite the climate change stuff designed to scare the crap out of everyone, drive up the price of carbon credits and make Al Gore a rich man.

You’re not going to find me cranking up the heat up to 80 this winter or see me pour my used motor oil down the storm drain, but I’m going to continue to fight the perception that a consensus has been reached and the argument is over.

That said, let’s have some fun courtesy of Minnesotans for Global Warming (check out the site), with a hat tip to Morrissey over at Hot Air. Remember that the real reason why global warming – rebranded climate change – is such a huge political issue is that the liberal left has made it a political issue, providing perfect cover to make everyone feel guilty and pay higher taxes for penance. Has a religious tone to it don’t ya think?

If you’re like me and want to skip the build up, just fast forward to 3:35 or so.

As a biologist, I am all for pollution controls where possible, but don’t scam me with some contrived, unproven piece of pop culture “science” and tell me that I have to pay for whatever they come up with for carbon (read it: behavior control and U.S. envy) credits until the hundreds of years pass before they can be proven wrong.

And don’t send a bunch of political tools like Al Gore, or pseudo scientists like Hansen to shovel it down my throat!

It other words, as my uncle used to say, don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining!
