“California Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-Los Angeles), a member of the House

Financial Services Committee, is raising questions about President Obama and
Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner with regard to the AIG bonus debate.

In an exclusive interview on The Joe Scarborough Show on 77 WABC, Waters says,
“They’ve got some explaining to do. The President is going to have to clarify
to the American public what took place between Treasury and Mr. Dodd…there
appears to have been some kind of agreement that they would protect AIG from
having to give those bonuses.”

With Democrats, it is always an “oversight” a la Mike Dukakis when he forgot to apply for federal funding for the Boston Harbor cleanup during his presidential campaign (relegating the cost to the communities surrounding Boston Harbor).

You have to imagine that it must be an extremely egregious “oversight” for even the pro-Democrat NYTimes to report it!
