To GIVE and to SERVE – It Passes

Many of you have asked me to talk about this and I will admit I have largely ignored it. That this “Give Act” was proposed is not surprising given Obama’s penchant for community organizing.

I agree. This not only has the potential to turn into a little mind bending army for the Democrats in general but Obama in particular … it seems that is exactly what is intended. Perhaps I ignored this because there is so much going on with the economy that needs addressing. Perhaps it’s because I could not really believe this would actually happen.

So rather than reinvent the wheel … I just point you to two posts from Malkin Enteprises.

The programs have already been allocated $1.1 billion for fiscal 2009, including $200 million from the porkulus package signed into law last month. In addition to recruiting up to 250,000 enrollees in AmeriCorps, the GIVE/SERVE bills would create new little armies of government volunteers, including a Clean Energy Corps, Education Corps, Healthy Futures Corps, Veterans Service Corps, and and expanded National Civilian Community Corps for disaster relief and energy conservation. And that’s not all. Spending would include new funds for:

You will have to read it all … then work your way over to Hot Air and hear what she had to say on “Beck” tonight.

Update: You’ll be cheered to know that the Senate version of the GIVE Act passed this afternoon, 79-19. Here’s the roll. Among those voting yes was our former Republican nominee.

and just to catch up … read this too.

I can’t wait until these “volunteers” begin acting like these Obama volunteers …

Ah, the holy trinity, Energy, Health Care, and Education.  Obama has been programed to say this over and over and over. Now we are creating Obamabots to repeat it.

“Signing to declare our support for Obama’s plan”  I will pledge to my country, but that last damn thing that I am doing is pledging to a man I don’t care who it is. Please come to my house, I would love to educate these kids.

Get you name on the new and improved (and likely as illegal) Obama Second Term donor list!!  No need for credit check!  We’ll just drain  your 401K, seize your assets and make you good little drones!

Remember how they targeted the people that supported the gay marriage ban in California?  Well, that’s coming to a neighborhood near you.  Card check for voters!

Maybe its my eyes, but wasn’t the talking head wearing a brown shirt?
Perhaps  if the rest of us get a petition to oust,( recall, renounce, charge with treason) the entire DC gang, we can beat them at their own game?

Bless you!  I’ve had that episode of Twilight Zone on my mind since before the election.  I wonder how many of the 53% who voted for Obama are now still on the gangway to the space ship?  It may be too late.  We are cooked!
