Just one more example of how the Federal Government interfered in the market and made things worse. It turns out the Big 3 wanted to merge the weak sisters … until they saw all that cash. Why merge?
The Democrats wanted to give them the money … they really did … but two sound bites at today’s press conference tell the whole story. The first is from Nancy Pelosi, the second from Harry Reid. What stopped them … the arogance of the Big 3, and you … the people!
First Pelosi informing us the Big 3 came in to talk merger untill they saw all that cash.
The second from Reid … oh they wanted to give them the money but the folks back home spoke up.
Make no mistake … had we not spoke up … Detroit would have the cash.
