I’ve asked friends why ACORN would be going out there an registering thousands of voters multiple times. Registering kids under 18, felons, illegal aliens, dead people and imaginary friends is actually part of the plan.

At first, I thought it was as simple as ACORN “volunteers” getting paid for each registration, or maybe “good will” points were awarded in the organization; more registrations result in higher profile positions in ACORN or its subsidiaries.

But there is more. All those registrations give activists the opportunity to cry racism and voter suppression.

Updated: ACORN video added.

{Crossposted by Steve at Conservative247}

Since it would be impossible to have voters go around and vote 70 times. Why does ACORN – and other groups – submit thousands and thousands of illegal registrations? They are not votes after all.

But there are reasons for ACORN and other left organizations to pull this crap.

If 1,000 new registrations are handed in and only 70 of those “people” actually vote, operatives can scream and holler that votes are missing. After all, if the person just registered within the past three months, they must have wanted to vote on Nov. 4.

It doesn’t matter if the registrants don’t actually exist, they will simply use recent registered voter numbers compared to actual voter numbers and claim voter suppression.

Of course, Republicans have started complaining about this activity and ACORN is being investigated again. Hot Air points out these complaints provide left-wing operatives like Ed Rendell the opportunity to claim Republicans are racist since we’re targeting bad registrations in the cities, and proving that the liberal vote (registrants in cities vote heavily Democrat) is being suppressed. Hogwash.

Update: Having a tough time posting video here, but it’s over at the Conservative247 version of this post.

Remember, by engaging in voter fraud and claiming voter suppression, liberal organizations and guys like Rendell are actually suppressing the Republican vote.

It’s important for you to vote on Tuesday.
