Stop The Porkapalooza

Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-TX) on Hannity last night pledged to stop the Porkapaloza dead in its tracks if the Republicans win back the House in 2010. But he went further, he also said he would give the money back to the people.

Congressman Gohmert has been a guest on the show before and proposed a two month tax holiday for everyone instead of the Porkapalooza. It was promptly shot down because you know … we can’t have the people spend their own money. Oh wait I forgot, its not your money.

Sure thing, dream on! A victory AND he'll give the money back to the people? And I have a bridge  between Manhattan and Brooklyn to sell for a great price. He a new kind of politician?

The problem is, had the Republicans not violated the original "Contract With America" Gingrich restored the party on, they wouldn't be in this mess today. And maybe neither would we.
