The Republican Party needs clarity, purpose, and most importantly, an end to the hypocrisy of talking smaller government while porking up their districts.

Hum.. Where to start.I would say the only way for republicans to win is as democrates..Lets look at things going back to newt. How did newt win, some say it was on conservative ideas but i would offer it was not on conservetive Ideas as it was just Ideas.I do not care what anybody says I believe that we as a spiecs are always looking to improve our lot in the world and we may not know we are doing it seek out ways to move forward and on.I believe that Obama won not on anything other then the hope of a better future and when and some will argue here but I as an all over the board person was hearing nothing but phoney baloney and nothing about becoming a better people and beings from the right Do not get mad at me here just listen and think about what I am saying; we like good and not bad.. Some know me from Jims show when I would prank call him mocking the things I would hear but if some had listened and said why is someone like this person hearing XYZ and not ABC like we are saying and the message would have changed from what I heard as fear and gloom to one of hope and a better tommorow (yes I know you can argue that all the left says is the same but what I would hear is the problems be said and ways to fix offered)& (Yes you could counter that we are princiblled and stay who we are and not change who we are to win an election but if that is what you are thinking then you are not hearing what I am saying which is you sell people on a postive future not on you need tosleep with one eye open because the demorates get you while you sleep ,they will take your money and jobs and future and turn your kids gay and reeducted them into terrioust suportters who hate the country and will give our nukes to the un bla bla bla……2) Where will the voters come from?3) Who are you tring to win over and no I not saying the republician party is only white and old but lets assume for a minute that this is true.. Where are the voters? Lets face facts and I can just offer my own thoughts on what the facts seem to be to me. The chances of getting any meanfully amounts of black votes is nominal so that leaves older people and once more to get old people vote you now have to assume that as people get older that they will become more conservitve and I will counter as people get greier then may become more democratic party orinated as they look at their helplessness and understand that they need the goverment to protect them from harm and corruption and will need help from the goverment to plain just live. Be it meds or nursing homes or there social security checks. Lets be honest here and look at these peoples and say older people seem to retire with little enough money and these were the people who saved and had little to spend it on so that would seem to tell me that this situation would increase.. So are people worried about how will they survive when they get older and see that in there prime of life they can barly afford the daily nessicites so instivally after 40 and into you 50′s people will start to look at the goverment and say I need my goverment. So we seem to lse the older vote and the black vote and peole as they grow grey so once more where to come up with 5 million more voters.. I say you can not..so that brings us to hispacians and lets ask ourselves if

Except that you would be wrong. The majority of Republicans who lost, including McCain, were at least borderline RINOs (Republican in Name Only).

Obama won on the promise of largesse from the public purse and the promise of redistributed wealth, with a large dollop of BSD (Bush Derangement Syndrome) thrown in for good measure.

Why assume a false premise?
America is a conservative nation. When asked, Americans self-identify Conservative ~60%, Moderate ~30% and Liberal ~10%.
In those places where Conservative values were on the ballot, they, generally speaking, won. A gay marriage ban in California is not a sign of a liberal nation.

IOW, we should subsidize mediocrity and poor choices.
Black slaves were liberated from chattel slavery on Southern plantations by Republicans in the 1860′s. Democrats, through the creation of the welfare state under Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society,” destroyed the African American nuclear family and, in the name of fighting poverty, increased poverty. You are advocating the disease, not the cure.
Hi Dave thank you for taking the time to read my comments and offer your views on them.
I would offer to ask you to explain to me how would you purpose to sell to America the ideas of conservativism? The things I am reading and hearing is the same arguements. Newt won on new Ideas. George Bush won on wining in key areas but lost the majority of the peoples vote not by much the first time and I would say won the second time by fear and change during a time of war.. But as time goes on people do and are going back to the middle and I would offer that a large part of people were voting against the rupublican name.So ok once more fear did not work this time, divide and congure failed. Be it the Gays are coming for you the terriost are after you and vote for us or your going to die and becarefull illegals are taking your job .The dems want your guns and want the un to take over America.. If anything I am writting implies anything other then an openness to understand at why the republican party is losing out and is contiuing to lose out it is because of extream points of views and I am making the arguement that now that Barrack is the president if he govens to the middle and or just to the lft of the middle he will continue to win the next term and keep the seats in congress..The people have a way of rallying around the president even if you do not like him out of fear of change so I am trying to offer views that may seem to be in conflic with your views of conservativeism but maybe there needs to be a fight for the party between conservetium and Repubilican. The choice is I am wondering can the republican party survilee if it keeps trying to run as conservitist or maybe needs to throw down conservetive ideas and become as you said above the party of 1860 a party to free people of repression but still you can argeee that out but I am offering ideas on ways to fight that you are not.. You can argue that dems destroyed the black familesa and on and on and there are those that could argue that blacks lost out when cars came along and people were able to move to the suberbas and jobs follwed them there and and blacks were left in cities with empty buildings and no tax base and nature took its course; you fight to survive be it selling drugs or prostion or any other vice you can say it is the nanny state but people will always seek out vices and when there is noo the type of work you make work.. But I have to look at the black population on a whole and be proud of them. I see a period of studgy but look at the way black people control so much of the media and music and good jobs and on and on.. sure black people had a diffucte time when the citys emptyed out but they have been more succesfull then any other race in america over the last 2 decades and will continue to prosper but still if your looking for votes as I said you have to write off black people in any numbers now that Barrack has won on the Democratic ticket and to get many votes from them you have to fight the idea that they have been victumes of socitiys compassion and concern.. This has not worked in the last 25 years it has been said.. I would offer that maybe Americas safty net worked just as it was meant to.
One can sit here all day and argue the points on the hows and whys of the weak Republican party but it won’t change a thing. Most of what happened was not because the Republican party did something wrong but because the Democratic party put in the American people’s face this charismatic guy who just swooned the people with all of his made up B.S. Hitler did the same thing and the people bought it hook line and sinker. Soon the old people that thought Hitler was going to save them from financial disaster were put ‘out of their misery’, along with the sick, loafers, the handicapped, the Jews ( for religious reasons), and anyone that opposed him or looked like they could be a threat to him (meaning if you are easily manipulated). Sounds like a lot of people that voted for Obama fall into these categories, just like those types did for Hitler. All of them – exterminated!
The problem is that people like to believe in the good in people, do not want to admit to their fears or to what they think is happening, in fear, that it is. Did McCain or Palin or anyone else running the campaign see what was happening? I think some did but for them to speak out it would have looked like they were crazy or if they had anyone in the administration look into some of the shady things regarding Obama, it would have looked like the administration was going after the other party’s candidate for political reasons. We unfortunately do not have a strong enough FBI that would remain unbiased and just go after some of the allegations to determine the truths on them.
If we do not try to preserve what is most sacred to us and that is our country, it’s constitution, it’s freedoms and everything else America stands for it will be lost to the first guy that comes along that can B.S. us into a socialistic state whereby we will have no freedoms or rights left to fight back except for an all out revolution, with a great loss of lives to do so. We can easily, before it is too late, demand through our rights that certain very important things are looked into regarding this man the majority voted in as president; namely, his qualifications to hold a high security job, based on his friends and associates, and his qualification to be president based on the fact his own grandmother in Kenya has said that Barack was born in Kenya, making him NOT a natural born citizen since his mother was not over 19 years of age. We must ask, demand the FBI to make its own investigation to preserve our constitution. If they do not, the FBI just might find themselves out of a job in the new socialistic state.

Ok so 300 million minus 50 percent for no reason is 150 million so 60 percent of that is 90 million . 10 percent is 15 million and 40 percent is 60 million.Ok where did tens of millions of your voters go.Well if your numbers are right and liberals took all all of the moduates and a large part of your not -base but those that call themselves republicans and maybe it is time to ask is your base growing old and getting weak and crumblying and it is time for a new foundation… Whice is what i am asking to the qestion on the right wing radio shoes today.. I am only doing this as a mental execrise and know that change takes place over decades and the presidency forces you the president either left or right they may be to the center but when he goes to far he loses power and I think Barrack is to smart to let that happen. .. I do ask you this Dave I have to wonder who do you have left? If union members are no good and goverment workers are no good and those on the east coust are no good and those in the norteast and those that are gay or Muslim or watch the news or read newspaper or teach college and are teachers and on and on is there anybody in America fits your view of who an American is and should be to be considered a honest and decent peron worthy to be called a republican. I am not looking for a fight but maybe those millions you say that did not vote republican because they are turn coats and not true conservites say like the nancy johnsons and northeast republicans as they to have been labeled unfit for command as a republican then who do you have left ..All of everything I have been playing with here today is Saying stop alienating people and make in roads to groups not only the religious base who are starting to leave also and run on a pro smart goverment platform and give out huge far reacing ideas. Sure people will know that these are unreacable dreams but people like dreams and to reach for the stars so maybe it is time to reach for the stars.. Keep in mind when General Patruous went to Irag he sat down with those oppesed to him and made peace by offering ideas of a peacefull prosperse land and will do the same in Afgeanastane if he can get his hands on billions in bribe money and America is opening a new consulate in Iran sort of and is following conservative think groups ideas that the way to win countrys over is by slow progress over decades and no amount of war will replace the way to stop terriousm but treat it as a police action and that is exaxtlly like Biull Clinton did and more then likly Barrack willl. So Open your mind to new ideas and ways and in 12 years the republicans will win the presidency again under a Muslim

They don’t, as a rule, need to be sold. The vast majority of people live these values and ideas in their day to day lives. What they need to be is clearly expressed and reinforced by the actual behavior of those claiming the mantle. Conservatives lose when their words do not match their deeds.

I wouldn’t disagree with your assertion, but why indulge in fantasy? Nothing the man has put forward in his unguarded moments suggests the above. There is nothing “centrist” about bankrupting an industrial sector. There is nothing “in the middle” about manipulating the energy markets higher and floating Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff that would hint at “reaching across the aisle.” Pretty words in public, Gary, are more than countered by his deeds and his private musings.
As for the rest of your post, making excuses will not lead to a betterment of either the cities or their populations. Why should businesses stay in the cities — the high taxes, the high crime statistics or the liberal NIMBYism? Automobile ownership was the least of issue. As for “making work,” there are far better (and far more lucrative) options than pushing drugs or crime — dealing crack on the corner is a sub-minimum wage position and, ironically, is as much a draconian meritocratic tournament as professional sports. I can neither fix nor help nor muster much sympathy for such stupidity
Sure Dave I would agree with you why should Companies stay in cities. Why should companies stay here in ct and why should they stay in America. I say bye bye don’t let the border hit you in the profit line as you leave.There is many a country out there for you, sure they do not have the electrical grid or clean water or skilled work force or need not worry about polluting the air or water. They need not worry about worker saftey and health care or any other such thing so I will look had at what some say is a company praidise free from such restraits and then after you read that you can bash me for my ideas.Bye were off topic and trying to follow Jims rules and keeping short and sweet….I will go and find that story of a corporates worlds praidise free from the of evil democrates nanny state big goverment polices.
