Senate democrats fight to postpone a key element of Obamacare
This would be funny were it not so pathetic.
16 Democrat Senators, all of whom voted for Obamacare, (and 2 Democrat Senators elect) sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid last week asking that the Senate vote to postpone a key element of Obamacare’s funding…the 2.3% gross sales tax on medical device manufacturers.
The senators, who made the request in a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, are Franken, Richard Durbin, Charles Schumer, Patty Murray, John Kerry, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Joseph Lieberman, Ben Nelson, Robert Casey, Debbie Stabenow, Barbara Mikulski, Kay Hagan, Herb Kohl, Jeanne Shaheen, and Richard Blumenthal. All voted for Obamacare.
Two other Democrats, senators-elect Joe Donnelly and Elizabeth Warren, also signed the letter. Donnelly voted for Obamacare as a member of the House. Warren was not in Congress at the time.
But, it gets better. Senator Al Franken (D.Mn.), one of the signers of the letter, said,
…I am concerned that we are running out of time before this job-killing tax goes into effect… [emphasis supplied]
Imagine, a Democrat calling a tax a “job killer”.

Obviously the 2.3% tax is going to be on Dem contributors-at least they finally read it.
I will be E-Mailing John Kerry today to ask, what the heck are you doing, Obama needs that tax to?pay for everyone’s health care and it will just be pased onto the consumer anyway.?
