As for the Judge, she's a hack.  She doesn't understand, based upon her own words, that her role is not to "create policy" but to adjudicate the law. Her statements were clearly racist and I simply can not think of a time where racism is desired in a court of appeals. That is not to say that such a case does not exist. This is an OBVIOUS political race card for Obama, he is kissing the asses of the latino(a) voters.  I don't think that he even cares if she gets confirmed. He has done his part to appease that segment of the voting public. I wonder if she realizes that she is being used as a tool because of her ethnicity. I think Republicans should ask the same questions of Sotomayor as the Democrats did of Miguel Estrada.  Let the chips fall where they may.
