Republicans are unpatriotic says Connecticut Governor Malloy

Governor Daniel P. Malloy (D. Ct.) attended a press conference at the National Governors Association annual meeting in Williamsburg on Friday.  To suggest that his comments are “unbecoming a governor” is an understatement.

“To be a Republican today, you have to deny reality and embrace a message that has no other purpose than to elect their candidate as President of the United States,” Malloy said..

“They know what they’re against, but they can’t tell you what they’re for,” he said. …

“In other times taking those positions would be described as unpatriotic… [emphasis supplied]

So let me see if I have this right.  If you are not happy with the way President Obama has governed over the past three and one half years, you are unpatriotic.  If you don’t agree with everything President Obama says or does, you are unpatriotic.  If you would like to see a change, you are unpatriotic.

Funny, I don’t recall it being unpatriotic to disagree with President Bush.

To listen to Governor Malloy, we should just abandon our “two” party system, anoint President Obama king for life, and be done with it.

Shame on you Governor.  Your view of patriotism disgusts me.

Why didn’t he accuse racism too?? Did he forget a talking point?

The man is simply a horses ass. ?He’s a typical tax & spend liberal who’s too ignorant to understand what a lousy job he’s doing. ?You can’t reason with these morons… don’t even bother. ?When he’s all finished bankrupting CT we’ll have the opportunity to vote the jerk out of office. ?Unfortunately the damage will already have been done. ?Liberalism is such a destructive disease.

      RINOcity is almost as bad.

To me speaking out against this regime is the ultimate expression of patriotism…. and I can add speaking out against the Malloy reign of error as a mark of true patriotism as well.? People who achieve positions of leadership then use them to undermine the backbone of what makes the country great, its working class, then they are? the unpatriotic ones.? Moving to squelch free speech by painting peaceful dissent with the brush of subversion is profoundly unpatriotic and it shows how threatened people like Malloy (and Obama) feel and is a tell that they know exactly what they are doing.? Dannel Malloy is doing to Connecticut what Barrack Obama is doing to the United States.

  3. Dimsdale on July 15, 2012 at 7:35 pm

Does this mean that dissent is not the highest form of patriotism, as Pelosi used to say when people criticized Bush (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kp6lMSOGNA)??? I believe Hillary was in on this too (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJxmpTMGhU0).
    ?
Just because Malloy *chooses* not to consider the Republican plans, as deftly laid out recently by Pawlenty.?? Worse than that, he refuses to look at both his and ?bama’s record of failure.
    ?
He is still smarting from being taken to the woodshed by Chris Christie so many times!? 😉

    • Dimsdale on July 15, 2012 at 7:38 pm

And this “?To be a Republican today, you have to deny reality and embrace a message that has no other purpose than to elect their candidate as President of the United States,? Malloy said.”
      ?
Could there be a better description of what the Dems have to do, the proof being in that they have to project that on the Republicans?? Get a clue, Malloy!

Did you see his picture carrying a sign with the union?? As governor – as an adult – his job should be to bring the two sides together to negotiate a compromise – not take sides.? Of course, CT has fallen to the pits of states who are business friendly – what a surprise.? We are so unfriendly towards businesses.? Plus – he supports Obamacare – forget he’s gov. of the state with the most insurance companies – will he strike against those companies as well?? Of course!!!

Malloy is doing a great job…I know because he said so himself in a speech the other day. I was so great that Dannel P(uppet) Malloy could take time from his busy schedule of raising our taxes ad nauseum, getting an award from the NAACP and making racist remarks there (yes, I said it), and spending in ways that would embarrass a drunken sailor, he still had time to march on a union picket line. What a waste he is.

Has anyone told the Gov. that the reason we have high gun violence in the past 3 mos. might be related to his early release program?? I am so angry at this State and Federal Government..taxed to death & have a MORON running the freaking State..Where is the Media?

His clone is running the country.

  6. ricbee on July 15, 2012 at 11:02 pm

He should be well received there. He’s so stupid that the Dumbocrats may nominate him for the next Presidency.

  7. Marilyn on July 16, 2012 at 5:51 am

That’s right Governor Malloy.? Conservatives are unpatriotic, Progressives/commie’s are patriotic.

  8. Lynn on July 16, 2012 at 6:38 am

So I guess no one in Ct will purge our voter lists of illegal voters who always vote Democrat, Right? Btw this comment relates to last post, stll haven’t gotten over that yet.?

    • Dimsdale on July 16, 2012 at 8:47 am

Especially not in New Haven, the preeminent “sanctuary city” of CT.? Or Bridgeport, where they extend polling hours and photocopy ballots to win elections (Malloy’s election, if I recall).

    • JBS on July 17, 2012 at 9:55 am

CT will purge Republicans from the voter list.

    • Dimsdale on July 18, 2012 at 9:06 am

Sadly, it is a smaller list….

no need to get worked up–danny boy is dyslexic–he’s just got it backwards. . .

  10. gillie28 on July 16, 2012 at 10:02 am

And driving down the state to 44th for business is patriotic?????

  11. RoBrDona on July 16, 2012 at 12:54 pm

Perhaps a little earthy and literal for today , but apropos nonetheless: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure”.
    -Ben Franklin

All I can say is that Malloy is a total embarrassment.?

  13. wildcat on July 16, 2012 at 4:56 pm

As others here have said, Dannel P.? shares the same philosophy as PBO.? Watch for him to take ” full advantage” of latest? Prez. Priv. regarding lowering of work rule requirements for welfare, SNAP, State Health Exchange, Dream Act..and all the other socialist-friendly programs.? I think he is fully on-board with BO’s agenda to overwhelm the system, if not for the same reason as his commie leader, then to ensure a permanent underclass for future Dem. voters.? He may not have the same level of commie associates (at least as far as we know) but he is cut from the same liberal, progressive cloth.? He wouldn’t know American patriotism if it bit him on his Big Government ass !?

Bastille Day was last Saturday, July 14. Another missed opportunity to practice “storming”.

    • Lynn on July 17, 2012 at 1:22 pm

Lol Sammy, but I don’t follow the French way on anything. ?If we storm anything it’s going to be like our storming of the beaches of Normandy.

  15. Anne-EH on July 17, 2012 at 7:26 am

Proves that the Governor Malloy does not have a record that he is proud of.

  16. JBS on July 17, 2012 at 9:59 am

    ?
Malloy never misses an opportunity to insult and affront.

  17. yeah on July 18, 2012 at 12:46 pm

HAH…ya know what’s unpatriotic, having your cronies steal an election for you because you know there’s no way you’re winning a fair and square bout!

  18. Dimsdale on July 19, 2012 at 10:45 am

The more I hear about Malloy, the more I think of ?bama: the imperial executive orders, cozy deals with unions, card check, expensive projects that don’t work, tax increases with no discernible effect on deficit spending, attacks on the rich etc., etc.
    ?
I think Malloy is ?bama’s brother from another mother!
