Post-Barackalyptic Wasteland

Looks like the aftermath of one of those hippie rock concerts. No doubt they expect someone to pick up after them. Apparently the message of “personal responsibility” and “putting aside childish ways” had not sunk in yet … … or maybe they just figured it didn’t start until he took the oath of office for the second time.

Isn't a mess is a small price to pay for a great Baragasm?

I understand that when you place 2 million people into that location, the ground is going to get smashed up and there is going to be some trash left around, but goodness – hasn't anyone heard the phrase "pack out what you pack in?"

Reminds me of the area of Woodstock after Woodstock.

Speaking of Woodstock, has anyone heard any reports about the port-a-potty success rate at the coronation?  With all the pictures of the event, I didn't see alot of them and could not even imagine being someone who needed to get to one and having to get through the crowds to find one.

I used to drive through the heart of true blue Hartford on a daily basis, and I could routinely see both adults and children drop trash casually at their feet as though it would magically disappear.

I think it is called "crapping in your own bed."  It is testament to the liberal credo of "do as I say, not as I do" that is the foundation of their hypocritical nature.  "Let someone else do it" is a theme we see replayed whenever the charitable donation record of big time Democrats is reviewed, and this includes our new president, vice president, Clinton, Gore etc., etc.  It is particularly shameful in comparison to Republican giving.

    Let government do it….

I did a quick look at some news reports as all should and found security removed most trash cans. Cans that were there were full and that the mess was cleaned up by morning with Paid workers and 100 volunteers, like all events.

      Gary,

I don't think you get the premise. First, pack out what you pack in. If I can not find a trash can, my options do not include throwing what ever it is on the ground. For some people in this group, that was an option. Also, we noted that this was supposed to be a "green" crowd, and some were not so green. Some of those in attendance, are hypocrites.

    • skepticalcynic on January 22, 2009 at 2:29 pm

That part about being the "green" crowd is a HUGE point.  Talking a green game is ALL this is, for the VAST majority. Throwing you crap on the ground iS wrong.  And if you say, HEY, its 2 million people, well, ok, then, ALL THOSE who threw their crap on the ground ARE ALL WRONG.  Just because something can be expected DOESN'T make it OK.

Yet this crowd will cheer for laws that will result in $5.00 a gallon gasoline, force homeowners to get a permit to prune a tree (they are sacred, you know)…

Steve is right – "some" are hypocrites.

    Go Green, eh?

Looks like the inside of the liberal mind….. Jim you nailed that lib today when he went after you on this.  they are such hyprocrites….They don't appreciate anything. To litter is one of the greatest signs of disrespect. It speeks volumes about an individual. Maybe that is one of his new Government created jobs. To have Fed workers to pick up after his hords.

Masses of people assembled in Wash.  on Tuesday to usher in Hope and Change and what we have left is trash and filth.  What a bunch of self righteous slobs.
