MTP has gone so far downhill since the loss of Tim Russert. This never would have happened when Russert was in charge – he had far too much respect for President of the United States – whoever it was – to pull a stunt like (or be as sloppy as) this.
I think Brokaw should've remained retired…MTP needs someone like Russert; passionate, lively, and willing to put people on the spot.
Russert was, if not a singular talent, a singular personality, although not without his own blind-spots and foibles. He had better than average sensibilities and judgment in a profession where the norms run to the sensational and the scandalous. His absence is felt… and seen.
