Pathetic: Rep. Jackson Lee tosses the race card again

I’m sick of this. There is just nothing more to say other than “this woman is pathetic.” Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) figures there is no reason – other than race – for Republicans to treat the president “so disrespectfully.” I guess she forgets how Democrats and lefties treated President George W. Bush.

From The Hill.

“I do not understand what I think is the maligning and maliciousness [toward] this president,” said Jackson Lee, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. “Why is he different? And in my community, that is the question that we raise. In the minority community that is question that is being raised. Why is this president being treated so disrespectfully? Why has the debt limit been raised 60 times? Why did the leader of the Senate continually talk about his job is to bring the president down to make sure he is unelected?”

Earlier in her speech, Jackson Lee said Obama has been targeted unlike any other president.

“I am particularly sensitive to the fact that only this president — only this one, only this one — has received the kind of attacks and disagreement and inability to work, only this one,” said Jackson Lee from the House floor.

Completely ignore the actual issue – we’re at a financial crossroad – and ignore the fact that other presidents have been “attacked” in similar fashion since the beginning of time. She’s worthless as a leader.

Of course, Jackson Lee had no issue claiming “high crimes and misdemeanors” during her efforts – along with others – to impeach George W. Bush in 2008. But that, in her opinion, was an effort to protect the United States people.

Guess she’s not concerned about the unsustainable growth and expenses the United States government that will bankrupt this great nation, leaving our next generation completely dependent on government who will not be able to take care of them.

For those of you Democrats or independents on the left, how do you feel about this woman? A clip from the 2008 hearings on impeachment…

Update: AP from Hot Air points us to the video of Jackson Lee’s statement on the House floor.

I never cease to be amazed at the speed with which the reflexive race card is pulled out by Democrats.? For a party that claims to be race neutral etc., etc., they have a funny way of showing it.
    ?
Ms. Lee is a particularly sad case.? This is the same woman who, during a tour of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory when the Mars lander was cruising the surface, asked if the Mars Pathfinder probe had taken a picture of that flag Neil Armstrong planted on Mars in 1969.
    ?
Is she stupid because she is black?? Of course not.? She is stupid as an individual, all by her lonesome, yet she unhesitatingly (and stupidly) pulls out the race card in defense of ?bama.? Of course, far more intelligent people than her in the Democrat party routinely do the same thing, so it is clearly a tactic to put his opponents on the defensive.?? A common lefty ploy.?
    ?
Now ask them if ?bama got elected because he is black (remember the “historic presidency”?), and they will deny that all day, yet that is more than demonstrably the case.? Getting elected because you are black is no less racist than criticized because you are black.

This woman is a nutcase! ?She plays the race card more often the Al Sharpton at a Klan rally. ?Her arguments are always specious, shallow and idiotic. ?She’s living in a nightmare of her own making. ?Instead of trying to understand why people don’t like this bozo in the White House, she throws a temper tantrum and cries RACE. ?Nice try Ms. Lee but we’re onto your game. ?You’re as much of a meatball as is the boy-president. ?Go sell your story to someone who cares, because most people really don’t!

?She just serves to prove my contention that the only racists left are Blacks & the media.

Shelia Jackson Lee?is what all liberals aspire to be, I googled her name and there is a littany of proof of her competency as a congresswoman. A few?things that make her standout amongst her?peers.

    1. During a townhall meeting for obamacare she sat and talked on her cellphone while constituents where asking questions.
    2. She’s being sued for discrimination by one of her staffers.
3.She’s the rudest boss at the Capitol having had 11 chiefs of staff in 11 years and been thru 39 staffers in that time.

Google her name and enjoy what every child should look?up to for?a role model. Sarcasm intended.

When racists like Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee4 play the race card, it’s part of a losing hand. She represents all that is good about the Democrat Party.

I thought Texans had more brains then that.

The most racist people are the ones who whine about it the most – and make a living off of it. Shakedown Jessie and Rev. (right) Sharpton – for two.

I also remember posters of the younger Bush.? One had the caption: Sniper wanted.? The other had a caption of:? There is a village in Texas that has lost its idiot.
Mrs. Jackson Lee – do you REALLY?want to talk about disrespect?

Selective memory I guess, we could also bring up what was said about President Reagan during his presidency.?

Lynn, she’s not a Texan she’s from NYC and a Yale graduate. Nuff said

  11. Lynn on July 18, 2011 at 6:23 pm

Oh c’mon, I do take Yale over Harvard so she has one point on her side. She must have taken one hell of a wrong turn out of New Haven!

I think the race card is like an eazy pass to even an Ivy League degree?? Or is she intelligent but pandering to the lowest common denominator?

    From Jacksonlee.house.gov,

“The 1960’s brought political and economic diversification to the forefront of Houston development. In 1965, the Voting Rights Act took effect and Texas was forced to reshape its legislative districts, opening political opportunity to people of color for the first time in the State’s history. In the following years, elected state officials became more diverse and the number of minority voters increased immensely.
The 18th Congressional District was created by the 1970 census and established the first minority majority of Texas Congressional District seat.?”

? As you can clearly see with her, it’s ALL about race! How many other congress critters would feature this on their website? Does John Larson’s site talk about how white NW?Ct. is????

  14. gimmeabreak on July 21, 2011 at 11:49 pm

If the School of Sheila Jackson Lee teaches that: Criticism + Black Politician = RACISM, then Rep.?Debbie Wasserman Schultz is evidently a downright racist!!!!!
