Dan Neil is the auto reporter for the LA Times so I guess its to be expected. He told Chris Matthews tonight that the reason the US Auto companies can’t make it is because the government doesn’t control the price of gas. That would fix it … yes sir. And while we’re working on this socialist idea … let’s let Washington make cars and make everyone drive cars they don’t want. That’s a good idea, don’t ya think?

Ummm … cars you don’t want, that don’t make a profit, subsidized by Uncle Sam using fuel controlled by Uncle Sam. Oh boy … I know I can’t wait.
