Obamacare “fix” – Demand insurance companies fix it for Obama

This is the fix? The Obama administration sets the rules for insurance companies to follow during the last three years, then President Obama “administratively” changes the rules of the game, after the game has ended?

We knew he would do this, he just offloaded his problems to the insurance companies who had to cancel policies since they did not meet the requirements of Obamacare. Now he has someone to blame outside of the federal government when the elections kick into high gear this summer. Notice he spoke of “good intentions” multiple times during that press conference. It’s not his fault. For Democrats and Socialists, it’s all about their intentions.

This tyrant is making administrative, political change that has nothing to do with how the law is written. How the heck are insurance companies going to figure this out? The insurance companies were FORCED to cancel those plans by Obamacare, now Obama is going to try to FORCE them to provide the plans they offered last year? This is totally screwed up!

On top of that, one year from now, the people will have the same exact problems they have today. A much higher premium and a much higher deductible.

Barry is, among other things,? apparently not very well informed on the roles of the Executive, Judicial and Legislative Branches of our Federal Government.? Maybe Valerie Jarrett will give him some queue cards during his staff meeting later on.

The website must really be messed up with no hope of being up and running smoothly by the end of the month. He has totally mucked this up and millions of previously insured will be uninsured beginning on the New Year. Oct 1,2014 is when our new individual mandated deadline and employer insurance mandate will again be sending out cancellations just before the elections lets not forget who shoved this down our throats. ?Cruz/West 2016

He “magically fixed” the healthcare system, and now he expects all the chaos he created to be fixed with the same magic.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and in this case there were plenty of road signs of impending disaster.? I guess ?bama was driving the bus distractedly (probably on his Blackberry arranging his next golf game).

Let them have their policies back for another year? What happens then? Cancellations and outrage part II. Why didn’t anyone ask THAT question? What a mess!

Don’t matter. It’s all about trying to take the House in 2014 for the Democrats. Do anything, say anything, lie and lie for the next 11.5 months till election day.

      Lies, damn lies, and ?bamalies….

Am I mistaken or did I not hear him say that he was delaying the individual mandate so everyone is still mandated to purchase insurance. ?So the distraction today was to get away from the dysfunctional website and steer people to trying to keep their policies which states are going to say no and directing the blame to insurance companies ?

    • Dimsdale on November 15, 2013 at 8:38 am

Delay the individual mandate??? Where have I heard that before???
      ?
Phone call for Senator Cruz.? Phone call for Senator Cruz…..

I heard him propose letting you go back to your old policy if you have been cancelled, but that is against his own ACA regulations. It is illegal. Those policies have been declared substandard.
Then there is the reality that insurance companies are private. There are 50 individual state insurance commissioners and rate boards where policies have to be reviewed prior to sale. While what Obama said sounds good at one of his god-awful boring press conferences and provides political cover democrats, it is fanciful. 3014 democrats facing reelection are racing to ditch Obama, the ACA and their own statements and support for Obamacare.
Plus, what he suggested is not part of the Executive Branch duties or privileges. Once again he is usurping the law and circumventing Congress. He really thinks he is above the law.? What a travesty!

How much longer is he going to be able to get away with saying “I had no idea” when any crisis surrounding this administration comes up?

    • bien-pensant on November 15, 2013 at 9:32 am

He had every idea. Perhaps he thinks he is Jean Luc and “make it so” will get it done. Not so. The “I had no idea” meme only makes him look incompetent and stupid or a liar. Take your pick. He has lost the confidence of the country and the Left Stream Media.
He bit off more than he could handle, he went a bridge too far, he tried to lift more than he could eat . . . this is a continuing string of failures for this regime. I can only hope that this makes all democrats, socialists, progressives and liberals (and whatever daily combos of them) toxic, unsustainable and not electable or re-electable.

It is “settled law” until he says it isn’t.?? Funny how that explanation disappeared.
