Obama to Democrats: Stop demonizing banks and business

On the Chutzpah meter, this one is off the charts. Meeting with Democrats yesterday for a little Q and A, Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln challenges the young President on his economic policies. Lincoln’s in trouble and this question is getting all the press, but it’s Obama’s answer that is the stunning sound bite.

Lincoln came the closest to criticizing Obama, quoting a small business owner from her state who wondered if anyone on the White House staff knew what it was like to “wake up on Monday and have to make a payroll by Friday.”

Ahh, listen to how the President handles that question:

I had an acquaintance in grade school like that: he would do something like make a noise in class, then look at me in horror as though I did it.

Didn't like it then, don't like it now.  My friend had an excuse though: he was in grade school.

"Like it or not, we have to have a financial system that is functioning and healthy".  Now who in Hades wouldn't like that?  Some of his socialist anarchist buddies?
