Cashews! As I listened, I could not stop shaking my head. And once again it’s the Messiah rescuing us from a “reckless” George Bush.
First he tells us that 150,000 “saved” government jobs is proof the $800 billion dollar stimulus is working and he expects you to believe. Now he is asking you to believe that he intends to stop deficit spending.
This is particularly galling when you consider he’s already pushed $800 billion out the door on a Porkapalooza … pushing a $3 trillion dollar budget with a $1.8 trillion dollar deficit … four three times anything W ever subjected us to, and promising America $1 trillion dollar deficits for the next decade. It will be “Pay Go”.
Pelosi promised “Pay Go” in 2006. Remember?
“Democrats will demand and deliver a fiscally responsible budget. We will submit all of our ideas in our innovation agenda to pay the rigors of pay-as-you-go. No more deficit spending,” Pelosi said.
Now it’s Obama’s turn. And he has the cashews to call Bush reckless in this bite, not once, but over and over again.
I can assure you that George Bush had nothing to do with the $800 billion Porkapalooza and he had nothing to do with the $3 trillion budget and the one trillion dollar deficits. This is all Obama.
The bottom line to all of this. Get ready to do your Patriotic duty. Tax Increases.

So "pay go" is now code (Obamaspeak?) for "spend and tax" Democrat (I guess that this must be the "change" Obama brought to D.C.: changing the Democrat Party from "tax and spend" to "spend and tax.") Pay now, go tax later.
Obama and Pelosi come from the Josef Goebbels school of propaganda: repeat a lie often enough, and it begins to sound like the truth.
Reminder: Congress makes the budgets and spending laws and the president enacts them into law by signing them – or vetoing them. Bush had threatened to veto the Porkulus. Congress held it back until Obama slam dunked it. Now we borrow 46 cents out of every dollar we spend. I thought we has spent only @ 5 % of the stimulus bill – the rest to be spent during elections. What a surprise?!
I think our President is back to the "inherited speach" again. Yup, there was a deficit that existed before him. But, all he has done is add to it that deficit in massive proportions. Add universal health care, and the "red ink" becomes the color du jour for our budget for decades. Now he wants to see fiscal responsibility? Pardon me, Mr. President, but, you abandoned that concept months ago.
By the by, was that Sen. Dodd in the background? Now there is a guy who understands fiscal responsibility.
