No intellect? No problem, scream and cry like toddler

I heard about the former Rep. Tom Tancredo’s (R-Colo.) discussion that never was yesterday. Plenty of video out there, and you just have to laugh at these kids. They act just like children since they really can not have a normal conversation with someone they disagree with.

Tancredo was there to discuss immigration reform and of course, the UPI report included some of the general hogwash.

Tancredo was invited to speak by the University of North Carolina chapter of Youth for Western Civilization, a national group that opposes immigration, multiculturalism and affirmative action.

He told The News & Observer that he had never before been silenced by protesters.

“Fascists are fascists,” Tancredo told the newspaper. “Their actions were probably the best speech I could every give. They are what’s wrong with America today. When all you can do is yell epithets, that means you are intellectually bankrupt.”

The first paragraph above is crap. They want to slow down the rampant radical multiculturalism on campus and they are against illegal immigration, not immigration. But the reporting is nothing unusual.

From the Youth for Western Civilization Web site – of which I am not familiar with.

This movement is focused on the support of Western history, identity, high culture, and pride and opposition to radical multiculturalism, political correctness, racial preferences, mass immigration, and socialism.

This tactic – screaming at the top of your lungs, laying out big banners in front of speakers, clapping and singing are all just ways to shut down speech. The problem is this little brats – and some commenters on blogs – think that free speach applies to them everywhere that they go.

I’ll remember that the next time I attend a Town Council meeting. I guess I can just stand up and scream so nothing gets done at all, and no discussions actually occur.

Can’t have people actually discuss ideas ya know? That would be dangerous!

Hot Air and Malkin have more video, but here is the audience view.

Yeah, this seems to be the norm for college liberals.

    Clearly, the following is suggested:

    1) they apparently think that everyone is as weak minded as they and their little friends are, and the mere mentioning of an idea that is contrary to their freshly groomed minds is sufficient to sway them.  Also see: religious items in public places.

    2) they are intellectually deficient and fact starved, but they realize that their beliefs are pathetically fragile houses of cards, that cannot withstand any contrary opinion because they have no facts with which to debate.

It is the functional equivalent of a 3 year old sticking his fingers in his ears and shouting "la la la la la."  The only difference is that they want to stick fingers in your ears as well.

College has become a breeding ground for students suffering from liberal socialist Stockholm Syndrome.
