Sorry I have to disagree with Jim, but there is a definite need for term limits, particularly in cases like this. A citizen government was not meant to have politicians for life. Clearly, with the mass indoctrination of the media, the lousy government education, and all the money that incumbents get (not to mention the highly questi0nable donations Obama got from foreign and illegal sources), there is no way to pry these hangers-on from their lofty perches.

The very idea that Murtha can say anything he wants as a congresscritter, without fear of repercussion, is repugnant to me.

Isn't this another example of how long incumbency leads toward totalitarian thought and behavior?

So being a bloviating, defamatory, ignorant, lying, corrupt Congresscritter is actually defined as part of his job and is protected by law? Or worse, by "Congressional immunity?" What else is protected by this, lying, cheating, stealing, taking bribes? You know, all the things Congressvermin are usually caught doing.

That explains a lot, in particular, Murtha and Frank for starters.
