More on Harry Reid’s imaginary friend, or not

Senator Harry Reid (D. Nv.) pronounced last week that Mitt Romney hadn’t paid taxes for 10 years.  The claim was based, per Senator Reid, on a telephone call from some unnamed person who presumably was an investor in Bain Capital.  How this investor could know anything about Romney’s taxes will forever remain a mystery, but an aide to Senator Reid has spoken.

In an interview with Los Angeles radio station KTLK, Jose Parra, an aide to Senator Reid proclaimed,

This person is an investor in Bain Capital, a Republican also, and somebody … who has been dealing with Romney’s company for a long, long time and he has direct knowledge on this…

Okay, now we are getting somewhere.

That was until Mr. Parra later said,

I do not know the party affiliation of the source, how long he invested with  Bain, or his relationship to Romney beyond the fact that he was an investor with  Bain Capital, as Senator Reid has previously stated…

So, Senator Reid tells the aide that his imaginary friend is an investor in Bain Capital, the aide makes up the rest, and when called on it, the aide admits he made it up.

Is it any wonder why Americans, except for Senator Reid and his imaginary friend, are fed up with the “say whatever is expedient and the truth be damned philosophy” that seems to permeate this administration.

I don’t believe for a minute, that Dirty Harry has any friends, real or imaginary.
    ?
That being said, Reid is simply being the front guy for the regime, which is desperate to attack Romney through his tax forms, which they will bend far out of context, regardless of its legality.
    ?
It has been the modus operandi of the ?bama campaign teams of the past.? No reason to expect things to change.? The only difference now is that ?bama actually has a record he has to defend.
    ?
    Lotsa luck with that.

Harry Reid is a whining victimized liar.

Let’s see those Romney tax returns, already!

    • GdavidH on August 11, 2012 at 7:00 am

Let’s see those college transcripts already!

The dems would love the returns to be released in order to spin anything negative about Romney’s wealth or bank accounts or the % he paid . I would think the repubs could well use Obama’s transcripts for something negative, even if it is irrelevant, and no laws were broken.
      Desperate !

Let’s see the real birth certificate, already!

    • Dimsdale on August 11, 2012 at 3:10 pm

Let’s see anything he published as the elected, excuse me, selected HLR president.?
      ?
Let’s see how he financed his college tuition.? Did he pull an Elizabeth Warren?
      ?
Let’s see his mortgage documentation and his relationship with felon Tony Rezko.

We first want to see Obama’s true certificate of birth, the one from Kenya, and the college transcripts that he’s been paying millions to keep from us, the one’s that certify his foreign student status and “quota-student” meager grades. ?We also want to know why his law license was pulled. ?In short, we want to know who this fraud is who claims to be our president… then Gov. Romney will have reason to reciprocate. ?As far as I’m concerned Mitt Romney should be proud of his success in the private sector! ?He’s obviously had much more success in life then Soetoro will ever see! ?

Geez, change the debate Romney!? Reagan would have blown this off like his morning coffee.? How ’bout, “I won’t make Sen. Reid’s medication a part of this campaign” or something similar to Reagan’s “I won’t make my opponent’s youth and inexperience a part of this campaign.”? Right now the Obama campaign is controlling the information and the debate…I worry…

HarryReid (is that an invasive weed species?) is doing the Regime’s bidding. He is putting their story out there.
    ?
Control the narrative, define the terms, and direct the focus, oh, and own the media.
Team Romney has particular difficulty stooping to the level of Obama’s street fighter tactics. Is he too good to take the fight to Obama and his sycophants? Is he too prissy? Is it a devout Mormon thing? Or, is it just a failure to understand the hardball of how gutter politics is now played, especially by Obama’s Syndicate?
    ?
Whatever it is, team Romney needs to beg, borrow or steal some extra large cashews.
    ?

Yeah….a devout Mormon thing—as opposed to a wayward Mormon like Prince Harry.

I love the imaginary friend angle. It makes Harry so cute! Ok you know I’m kidding, Right?

Do you think that Harry Reid has high cheek bones by chance?? Wouldn’t that be splendid if we later find out that Mr. Reid is part native american indian?? With Mr. Reid’s imaginary friend out-break there’s a padded room that he could mutually share with Mrs. Warren [MA].

Aren’t members of Congress immune from slander repercussions on the floor of both houses?? Did Mr Reid repeat his accusations elsewhere?? Hmmmmm.

    • ABO (Romney/Ryan 2012) on August 11, 2012 at 10:49 pm

PV I believe you are correct I had heard it elsewhere before he went to the floor

  9. JBS on August 11, 2012 at 10:23 am

Most laws don’t apply to CongressCritters. Slander? Obama and his surrogates will say and do anything to stay in power.
    ?
It is strange that Harry(?) Manson Reid would attack a fellow Mormon. Harry is a Mormon.
    ?
But, Harry Manson Reid is a democrat first. I won’t make anything out of his senility, mental problems or his obvious delusion of hearing voices.
    ?
It would be interesting if he said that somewhere else . . . who would report it?

    • dairyair on August 11, 2012 at 10:20 pm

I thought Dirty Harry said it to HufPo prior to saying it on the floor? I could be wrong…

  10. Dimsdale on August 11, 2012 at 3:15 pm

If Reid and the rest want those tax returns so badly, then make it a law.? For everyone running for office.?? Retroactive to institution of the personal income tax.? Include any so called news professionals as well.

  11. ABO (Romney/Ryan 2012) on August 11, 2012 at 9:32 pm

harry has imaginary friends, pricess pelosi? hears voices, obama says the private sector is doing fine and his policy’s are working and they think the right is off their rockers.? WOW

  12. ricbee on August 11, 2012 at 11:14 pm

Reid is rapidly approaching Biden in the bidet.

Hopefully Hairy Reed only has a few months of relevance left… along with “Stretch” Pull-loosely and Obummer.

    • JBS on August 12, 2012 at 6:50 am

We can only hope and work to make that dream come true.
      ?
Maybe Hairy Manson Reid can become the next comedian to replace Little Debby Whatshername. She makes things up; Hairy hears voices!
      ?
I fervently hope that in January of next year, Obama is getting on a helicopter for his last taxpayer-paid ride out of Washington. Finis. Kaput. Start a new chapter for America.
