Jim Vicevich’s schedule on WTIC – taking some time off

As listeners have noticed, Jim took yesterday and today off from the Sound Off Connecticut show on WTIC. He’s having a very difficult time this week with the autoimmune disorder he has struggled with for awhile and he could use your prayers. Update: More recent information here.

Update: Vicevich returns to the air on Monday, Jan. 25.

A great number of listeners and readers have sent Jim a note hoping that he feels better and that they miss him on the air. I spoke with him within the last few minutes and he wants everyone to know he very much appreciates your thoughts and prayers. He can use all the help he can get.

I’ve spoken with Jim quite often during the last 13 months when he was not feeling well, but he always got to talking about the show, the Web site and the current news of the day no matter how hard I tried to get him to forget about all of that. Yesterday and today when I spoke with him, we discussed nothing but his health … so I know he’s hurting pretty bad.

Jim’s not alone. The Sound Off Son has been staying with Jim for the last few days and Jim has an appointment tomorrow with a physician for another evaluation.

Jim thanks you again for your support.

(Posting comments to this thread will be seen by Jim eventually, but I do know he is occasionally glancing at his phone. If you send a comment via our Web site, he’ll be able to see it easily.)

Jim do not let the Devil defeat you . Not here not now. See your sudden struggle as a sign the Lord’s victory is close at hand. Obama is getting a standing 8 count, Brown is within single digits of defeating Martha Cokedealer, Dodd is OUT, Everyone else at WTIC is working damage control for the democrats,  saying how wonderful Dick Blumenthal is. Such a done deal. A sure thing. Other local hosts are helping Dick Blumenthal by pumping up the volume on Linda McMahon. The only person less visible than you Jim is Rob Simmons. There is cosmic reason you have been taken out at this very time. The devil is badly wounded and he needs your silence to heal and keep the plan of darkness on agenda. I pray that you will defy him and bring us your take on these historic times.

  2. Let’s avoid these sort of comments for this post shall we? It’s not about politics. Simple well wishes without mentioning the “devil” would be a nice gesture.

    Jim,
The whole state of CT loves you (even a few democrats) and prays for your return to health.
What is more important is that God loves you and is always with you. You are doing God’s work, Jim, and it is good.
God’s plan for you now is to rest and regain your strength. There is more work to be done.
